You can read the article at the above source about Trump's economic advidor. Dr Judy Shelton. She works for the sound money project and has written several books. Here bio is here. https://www.atlasnetwork.org/about/people/judy-shelton-ph.d

In the ZH article she says she is not opposed to another Bretton Woods conference and a return to some form of a gold standard. This woman is an idiot. She is dangerous. If Trump followed her policies, we would have a global civil war of those who have against those who don't. The Depression would not be over until 3 or 4 billion people died. A gold standard is that bad. I advise people to buy gold and silver to survive. But a gold standard would ruin the nation. We had a gold standard from 1929 to 1933. The worst Depression in histroy started in 1348 on a gold standard.

I did not write this but I could have!!! Had to share this: Ok people, soap box moment……… Millions of trump supporters feel this way about Donald J. Trump…..”We don’t care if the guy swears… or how many times he’s been married…or who he voted for, or what his income tax return shows. We want the problems fixed. Yes he’s an egomaniac, but we don’t care. We know he’s not a racist, or bad to women, or all the other things the liberal media is trying to label him with. We know he’s raised a good family, and that says a lot about him. The country is a mess because politicians suck, the Republican Party is two faced & gutless, and illegals are everywhere and Muslims are openly trying to hurt this country and make the civilized world adjust to them. We want it all fixed! We don’t care that Trump is crude, we don’t care that he has changed positions, we don’t care that he fights with Megan Kelly, Rosie O’Donnell, and so many of the elected establishment. We don’t care that Rubio, Cruz, Ryan, the Bush’s, and so many other top old and new Republicans refuse to endorse him for their own selfish reasons, and we know what they are. We don’t care that he doesn’t know the name of some Muslim terrorists, we don’t care that he tried some businesses that didn’t work out. This country is weak, bankrupt, our enemies are making fun of us, we are being invaded by illegals, we are becoming a nation of victims, where every Tom, Ricardo and Hasid is a special group with special rights to a point where we don’t even recognize the country we were born and raised in, AND WE JUST WANT IT FIXED. And TRUMP is the only guy who seems to understand what the people want. We’re sick of politicians, sick of the Democratic and Republican Party. We’re angry about the Iran deal, the budget, treatment of Israel, military weakness, lobbyists, special interests, overpaid politicians with their self serving bills and back room deals, trade deals, loss of jobs, manipulated economic numbers, businesses fleeing, and even the phoney pay for play Clinton Foundation. Americans are no longer going to be fooled, and the movement is out to change the direction we’re taking. Trump may not be a saint, but he doesn’t have lobbyist money holding him, he doesn’t have political correctness restraining him, and all you know is that he has been very successful, a good negotiator, he has built a lot of things, he’s flexible, and he’s also not a politician. And he says he’ll fix it. And we believe him because he is too much of an egotist to be proven wrong or looked at and called a liar. Public service has become elected greed. This may be our only chance to have a non-politician, despite his flaws, try and correct the mess, at least for 4 years. We must take the shot, because the consequences of putting Hillary Clinton in office are frightening. There is a tidal wave happening, and its going to overcome much of what’s happened to this country. You can repost this. Reply

Just lifted that off of social chit shat networks.

I am still voting for Trump. Hillary would be worse. At least understands that if you go bankrupt creditors do not get 100 cents on the dollar. I am more interested in the Trump voters than in Trump. Very few people understand money. And none can tell the truth about money on TV.

Help me out here -- America's glory days were all on the gold standard, weren't they? The Federal Reserve was the death sentence of the g.s., and it appears to be finally killing the economy once and for all "as if" planned that way.

All the great white countries and then some are coming apart at the seams in the zenith of the funny money/central banking age. What's the answer, bro?

(Walking along NYC sidewalks one day I suddenly realized I was passing in front of the tallest building in the world -- but only because it said Empire State Building on the front :-)

Our longest Depression was in the 19th century when the US withdrew Greenbacks from circulation. There is no way out of a Depression except through a Debt Cancellation. The Federal Reserve would give you a $20 gold coin anytime you showed up with a $20 bill until 1933. The Depression started on the gold standard. All Depressions are preceded by the accumulation of mountains of Unpayable Debts. That is through fractional reserve banking which happens even on a gold standard. Returning to the gold standard offers nothing. We need Debt Cancellation. It can only be paid for by arresting Bankers and seizing their assets.

The solution is to issue a non-interest bearing currency like Greenbacks and to ban fractional reserve banking. A Gold Standard solves nothing. In fact it would force us to balance both our budget deficit and our trade deficit in 90 days. Simple. Fire 10 million government workers, end Food Stamps, welfare and half of disability. Balance our trade deficit by quadrupling the price of coffee, tea, cars, electronics and everything else we import. And be prepared to let foreigners buy all our food off the shelves because they have gold and we don't. There are rational solutions and a gold standard is just idiotic. The US economy and government would cease to exist because 90 million Americans would have nothing to eat. But, if you want a war on American soil, you can have that. But be prepared to see 150 million Americans die.

I am voting for Trump. Hillary would destroy the world.

This is what Obummer wants. And he wants the U.N. to control our guns. They can have them, one bullet at a time.

And the death toll in a war on American soil would be astronomical, in the hundreds of millions.

I am voting for Trump also. Screw the Mexicans. I hope he builds a wall 50 feet high. ;)

You're working from a worst-case scenario. "Anything that must be done can be done" -- Bob Jones Sr. Surely we'd be helped by (for instance, for openers) the fedgov legalizing voluntary use of Ag and Au as money including by state govts. The consciousness and interest is definitely out there.

We had a gold standard from 1929 to 1933. The worst Depression in history started in 1348 on a gold standard.

A gold standard (or sound weights and measures) don't cause modern depressions. Rothschild banks do.

The week before The Crash deposits exceeded withdrawals, but banks acting in concert suddenly contracted the money (credit) supply. When divestiture was forced on industries that routinely borrowed capital costs annually, many lost big and few gained unimaginable wealth for pennies on the dollar.

But, when it came time for a scorched Earth policy against Germany there was plenty of money to be loaned *for profit* for the "war effort".

Smedley Butler's book details the numbers of new millionaires and billionaires that were created by both of the 20th century's bankers' wars. And, the same bankers who speak against gold hoard it as no other class has in the history of the world.

It's possible to prevent engineered financial crashes. Would you have us believe that they're Acts Of God and nothing can de done about them? This is the religious belief of those who presume that the Federal Reserve is the only way to control the money supply.

There is not enough gold to function as money. Most money in 1929 was checking account deposits. This is money the Bankers create out of nothing. It accumulates until we have a mountain Unpayable Debts. You have to repeal fractional reserve banking. I prefer a currency like Greenbacks so we can spend money into creation. I would do that so we could pay for new infrastructure without taxation. A gold standard would destroy America as we do not have enough gold to buy from overseas.

I couldn't agree more.

The monopoly given to central banks that allows them to create money (so-called) out of thin air and lend it at interest is a ludicrous concept that is tantamount to a monopoly on enslavement.

Not only that, a monetary system based upon (fictional money that's actually debt monetized)) commercial credit and currency mandates a legal system based upon commercial laws, not the Constitution or common law.
