His remarks were the latest in a series of recent interviews where he has said he is considering softening a previous pledge made at the onset of his campaign to deport 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. During a "Hannity" town hall on Tuesday, Trump said he was open to "softening" laws dealing with illegal immigrants. On Wednesday, Trump told Hannity there would be "no citizenship" for those illegal immigrants. "Let me go a step further- they'll pay back-taxes, they have to pay taxes, there's no amnesty, as such, there's no amnesty, but we work with them," Trump said. He also spoke of how hard it would be to deport people who have lived in the country for decades and raised a family. "Now, everybody agrees we get the bad ones out," Trump said. "But when I go through and I meet thousands and thousands of people on this subject, and I've had very strong people come up to me, really great, great people come up to me, and they've said, 'Mr. Trump, I love you, but to take a person who's been here for 15 or 20 years and throw them and their family out, it's so tough, Mr. Trump,' I have it all the time! Actually those responsible for 9-11 were here legally but overstayed their visas and no one did anything. I don't much like Mexicans very much but I absolutely despise Muslims. The big problem is legal immigration.
The problem is...immigration...period. Close the borders. The days of...give me your poor tired etc etc... are long gone. Americans that are for giving out free lunches for anyone that shows up, are ruining this country. Years ago the the Swedes said, "look at us, see how humanitarian we are", Americans bought into that nonsense. Check current surveys with the Swedes, see what their attitude is now.
Thank you, Cyni. You and I are in a tiny minority of people saying this. This is the firstime I've ever seen anybody claim legal invaders are the problem -- normally the fig leaf is claiming it's the illegals. (Why does it feel like my country is constantly feel like I'm lurching over that very abyss?)
There is another side to this fiasco that few want to discuss. When war comes and it will, there ARE estimates that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF OUR "NEW CITIZENS" WILL WALTZ ACROSS THE BORDER DOWN MEXICO WAY...leaving the women and kids for us to feed. They wont walk thru the desert or swim the Rio Grande, they will drive their nice auto over the bridge, giving us the finger as they depart. During WWII, thousands fled this country to avoid the draft. Yes, they were smart, but we were and are stupid.
It's coming, Cyni, just the way you've been laying it out. Fox news, with the exception of Hannity and Eric Bolling, are all in for Hillary. They're cashing in their credibility for all the world to see. Seems like endgame type stuff to me. Get Hillary in there so they can finish it.
