Dead Constitution See other Dead Constitution Articles Title: Republicans for Hillary Republicans for Hillary by Stephen Lendman As part of its daily Trump bashing ritual, The New York Times published a list of scores of Republicans for Hillary, citing fabricated reasons for switching allegiance. It’s not about Trump wanting a wall built on Mexico’s border, wanting Muslim immigration halted “until we can figure out what is going on,” saying he’ll keep Guantanamo open and “bring back a helluva lot worse than waterboarding,” demeaning Ted Cruz’s wife, or any of the other reasons listed. GOP turncoats saying they’re “unable to support a party ticket with Mr.Trump at its head” reflect concern about his anti-establishment sounding rhetoric, saying things other politicians wouldn’t dare, fear about not being fully able to control him fully, disapproval of his wanting better relations with Russia, his opposition to TPP and other jobs destroying trade deals, among other reasons. They want continuity with no deviations, unobstructed dirty business as usual, state terror remaining official US policy, endless wars of aggression, all sovereign independent nations transformed into US vassal states, harsher than ever neoliberal harshness, and full-blown tyranny replacing remaining freedoms. Trump likely goes along with most of this. They want it all, especially no rapprochement with Russia, China, Iran or any other independent country. The latest Times anti-Trump broadside continued its relentless propaganda campaign against him, acting as Hillary’s press agent, along with US monied and imperial interests. Relying on Times reports, commentaries, op-eds and editorials to stay informed on world and national issues assures accomplishing neither - achieving brainwashing instead, an upside down world view of things instead a right side up one. The Times is an unofficial instrument of state propaganda, serving establishment interests exclusively - presstitution on issues mattering most, not legitimate journalism.
