War, War, War See other War, War, War Articles Title: No Prospect for Peace in Syria No Prospect for Peace in Syria by Stephen Lendman How can there be peace when conflict aggressor America wants war - dangerously headed toward escalation if Hillary succeeds Obama, risking direct confrontation with Russia. Endless conflict resolution discussions proved futile. Nothing in prospect suggests responsible change. Scores, maybe hundreds of Syrians die daily, mainly civilians - America, its rogue partners and terrorist foot soldiers consider them legitimate targets. Hillary orchestrated war on Syria as secretary of state. One of her leaked emails said “(t)he best way to help Israel deal with Iran’s growing nuclear capability is to help people of Syria overthrow the regime of Bashar Assad.” “Israel’s leadership understands well why defeating Assad is now in its interests.” Its main objective is isolating Iran, on America’s target list for regime change - by color revolution or most likely war, threatening the entire region and beyond if launched. Syrian sovereignty and its people face continued merciless attack by US-supported ISIS, other terrorists groups and rogue states allied with America’s imperial agenda. On Tuesday, its UN envoy Bashar al-Jaafari stressed “the basic responsibility to protect from crimes is the function of the states concerned, and the goal of the basic idea of the protection responsibility is to boost sovereignty of the countries, not undermining them.” “The events in Syria can’t be described as civil war as thousands of foreign terrorists have entered Syria through neighboring countries.” Its ruling authorities continue defending Syrian sovereignty, territorial integrity and the welfare of its people by combating the scourge of Western and regional supported terrorism, he explained. Fars News quoted Izvestia, saying “Russia's Aircraft Carrier, Admiral Kuznetsov, with scores of advanced fighter jets, is close to Mediterranean Sea. It will enter Syria's waters in the next weeks to boost Russian forces’ capabilities in rooting out militancy in the Middle-Eastern country.” “Kuznetsov carries at least 10 Sokhoi 33s equipped with the most modern weapons (along with) with cutting-edge systems which will remarkably boost (its warplanes’ ability) to carry out more precise air attacks on terrorist groups’ defense lines across Syria.” Equipped with advanced SVP-24 detecting and targeting systems lets these aircraft “fire non- guided bombs (with accuracy) as exact as guided ones.” “(M)ulti-function Mikoyan MIG-29 fighters are on board,” equipped with guided bombs and missiles. According to Izvestia, the “SVP-24 system is capable of conducting a comparing analysis from the situation of airplane and its targets.” “It can also measure several parameters, including humidity, wind speed, and the angle of attack. The system can receive more information about AWACS planes, command stations and other planes.” Russia’s Admiral Kuznetsov is scheduled for deployment in the Eastern Mediterranean from October through January next year. Its mission will supplement ongoing Russian aerial operations, effectively combating terrorism in Syria - the scourge America and its rogue allies support. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago.
