The sporting world witnessed one of the great moments in commentary history during Monday Night Football, and it had nothing to do with anyone wearing a jersey. Well, the guy might have been wearing a jerseythe ESPN cameras were determined to keep the man who ran on the field during the 49ers-Rams game last night off the screen. But they couldn't keep this moment from commentator Kevin Harlan, who just absolutely goddamn nailed it:

"He's bare-chested and banging his chest!"
"The guy is drunk! But there he goes!"
"Somebody stop that man!"
The aftermath didn't disappoint either. "Look at the police," Harlan said, having calmed down just a bit. "They've surrounded this man like he is"and, searching for a non-offensive-but-funny hypothetical crime"like he...like he just robbed a bank."
The semi-streaker apparently got "a full lap in" before he was tackled, so well done to him, too. The 49ers smashed the Going Back to Cali LA Rams, 28-0.

We were working a Chicago Bears game in Soldier Field in Chicago. I was on the end zone with the low wall. Some guy wearing a Bear suit was edging his way down the stairs. The big boss, Jerry, came by. I said, "Jerry, you see the guy in the Bear suit?" He said, "Yes." I said, "I think he wants to jump." He said, "You think so?" I said, "Yeah, I think so." He said, We will call a supervisor and send him back to his seat." I said, "C'mon Jerry. Let him jump. I'll grab him by the tail on the way over the fence." He said, "No." Spoil sport.
Can you imagine if this guy got on the field it would have made the newsreels around the country. It would have been worth the $50 fine for disorderly conduct.
