Dead Constitution See other Dead Constitution Articles Title: Leaked Colin Powell Emails Leaked Colin Powell Emails by Stephen Lendman Reading them is a rare chance to be a so-called fly on the wall to remarks not meant for public airing. Below are a few Powell gems: In 2015, in less than so many words, he explained Israel is nuclear armed and dangerous, saying it has 200 nuclear weapons “all targeted on Tehran.” He commented after Netanyahu broke traditional protocol, addressing a joint session of Congress in March 2015 despite no Obama administration invitation to visit Washington. He denigrated the Iran nuclear deal with a litany of Big Lies, maintaining silence on Israeli’s enormous threat to the region and humanity. Iran’s nuclear program has no military component. No evidence suggests otherwise. Repeated Netanyahu rants ring hollow. Israeli intelligence and its military know Tehran poses no threat. According to Powell, Iran couldn’t test a nuclear weapon without being attacked. Its government has “every right to enrich (uranium) for energy.” Netanyahu over a year ago claiming it’s “a year” away from having the bomb was propaganda rubbish. Another Powell email revealed disdain Hillary and Obama disdain for each other, saying “(s)he’s got trouble too. No one likes her and the criminal thing ain’t over.” “I don’t think the president would weep if she found herself in real legal trouble. She’ll pummel his legacy if she gets a chance and he knows it.” An earlier email showed Hillary “HATES that the president (“that man” as both Clintons call him) kicked her ass in 2008.” Other Powell emails blasted Trump and Hillary, calling the GOP nominee a “national disgrace and an international pariah.” He described Hillary as having “unbridled ambition, greedy and not transformational…Everything (she) touches she kind of screws up with hubris.” He criticized her using a personal server for official State Department business, adding “mishandling of this has really given her a major problem I do not wish to get involved in, despite the best efforts of her team to drag me in.” She “could have killed this two years ago by merely telling everyone honestly what she had done and not tie me into it. I told her staff three times not to try that gambit. I had to throw a mini tantrum at a Hampton’s party to get their attention.” “I didn’t tell Hillary to have a private server at home, connected to the Clinton Foundation…” She lied, telling FBI investigators “Powell had advised her to use a personal email account at a private dinner.” Not so, according to Powell, saying “(t)he truth is she was using (her personal server) a year before I sent her a memo telling her what I did” as secretary of state. “Her people are trying to pin it on me.” When asked why, he said “(w)hy do you think?” Nothing about Bill and Hillary Clinton is redeeming. I call them the Clinton crime family for good reason - with lots of evidence substantiating my accusation. If ordinary people committed a tiny fraction of their wrongdoing, they’d be doing hard time - maybe a life sentence without the possibility of parole. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago.
