Who lost? Who cares? What matters is who really lost - millions of ordinary Americans, betrayed again, doomed to suffer under continued duopoly power control over their lives, serving privileged interests exclusively, harming their well-being and futures - waging endless wars of aggression at the expense of world peace, stability, equity and justice. That’s the message of the entire campaign, including Monday night theatrics, an exercise in demagoguery, bluster, and avoidance of substantive discussion, interchanges and debate on the vital issues of our time with clear policies laid out for real change - not forthcoming no matter who succeeds Obama. Why would any sensible person support either duopoly power candidate, like signing one’s own death warrant for doing it. One aspirant alone stands out, and she was barred from participating or even attending the event. According to her press director Meleiza Figueroa, Jill Stein came to the Hofstra University debate (sic) site, was blocked by its security and Nassau county police, was told after broadcast interviews, she’d be “escorted off campus immediately,” meaning forcibly if she justifiably resisted. Police states operate this way. International and constitutional laws are null and void, raw power and privilege alone served, a deplorable situation, fantasy democracy, not the real thing. Jill and supporters demonstrated outside Hofstra, used social media and alternative media interviews to get out her message. “I have an opportunity to have a voice that can be heard by tens of millions on social media,” she said. As for tragedy and farce masquerading as “debate,” it was 90 demagogic minutes of he said, she said - saying nothing, mocking what real debates are supposed to be all about, making tired old empty promises to be broken straightaway no matter who becomes America’s 45th president. It happens every time, yet voters are repeatedly duped, easy marks to roll over. The entire campaign, Monday night, two debates (sic) to follow and what remains on the stump until November 8 reflect an exercise in fooling an uninformed, indifferent electorate again, manipulating them. Candidates promise everything. Remember Obama’s duplicitous hope and change message? They deliver nothing, harder than ever hard times following for ordinary people, deepening tyranny challenging resisters. NBC News moderator Lester Holt was buffoon-like, failing to do his job, not challenging and refuting misinformation and Big Lies, especially from Hillary, an unindicted perjurer. America’s state is deplorable, combining plutocracy, predatory corporate oligarchy, public and private gangsterism, perpetual wars against invented enemies, and tyranny headed toward becoming full-blown. Will November elections change things? Only for the worst, America on a slippery slope toward the worst of all possible worlds - meaner, nastier and more frighteningly dangerous than ever.
