Hey, Look! It's a Fox News Fight! Hannity and Kelly are fighting over Trumpiness.

Someone hide the children. The big kids are fighting on the electric Twitter machine. From USA Today:
"They're both in their own version of a presidential protection program," Kelly said. She said Clinton makes sure "she is not in a place where she feels uncomfortable or anything unexpected could come at her, which is why she sat for a half an hour with Mary J. Blige, the singer, which is why she did Entertainment Tonight this evening." But, Kelly didn't stop there. "And Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10 o'clock, will go on Hannity, and pretty much only Hannity, and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days, which doesn't exactly extend the tent." Trump has made several appearances on Hannity's show and the Fox News personality has been a vocal supporter of Trump. "@megynkelly u should be mad at @HillaryClinton," Hannity tweeted, apparently unaware Kelly's admonishment was also directed at the Democratic nominee. "Clearly you support her. And @realdonaldtrump did talk to u."
(Question: is "extending the tent" a metaphor, like "whipping out the Mexican"? It's so hard to keep up with the lingo these days.)
I don't want to side too long with a person who once felt compelled to reassure children that Santa Claus was a white man, but it's Kelly who has the right of it here. Hannity is so deeply in the tank to El Caudillo del Mar-A-Lago that Sean won't dry off until next April. The basic corruption of allying yourself with the Trump campaign—and with the candidate himself—is going to be a long-lasting stigma for a lot of people if the Republicans auger in on election day.
If Trump takes down the party, everyone who supported him is going to carry the mark of the beast for the rest of their days as the GOP rushes to distance itself from the rotting corpse of the 2016 campaign. The rest of us will have to make do with laughing at them.
