War, War, War See other War, War, War Articles Title: Dangerous US Mission Creep in Syria Dangerous US Mission Creep in Syria by Stephen Lendman A same day article explained Obama, meeting with his national security advisors on Friday, is weighing escalated options in Syria, including attacks on government forces, risking direct confrontation with Russia. For the second time in recent days, areas near Moscow’s Damascus embassy were shelled with mortar rounds for two hours on Wednesday - attacks launched from Jobar neighborhood-based US-supported terrorists. No embassy damage or staff injuries to were reported. On Thursday, Russia’s UN envoy Vitaly Churkin said his government’s military will continue combating terrorists in Syria until they’re eliminated. “(T)his is the goal which we are seeking to reach,” he explained. Russia’s General Staff said (US-supported) terrorists continue shelling Western Aleppo civilian areas, killing defenseless people daily, including children. Media scoundrels ignore the slaughter, focusing solely on the battle for terrorist-controlled eastern Aleppo, shamelessly blaming Russia and Syrian forces for their high crimes, along with Pentagon- led “coalition” terror-bombing hospitals, vital infrastructure and massacring government troops. (US-supported) “terrorists blocked the delivery of humanitarian assistance to” eastern Aleppo residents, Russian General Sergei Rudskoy, explained. “Humanitarian corridors (were) mined. The shelling of the western part of the city continues…which means dozens of dead and hundreds of wounded every day.” Rudskoy accused US-led Western countries of conducting an anti-Russian smear campaign, baselessly claiming its aerial operations strike targets indiscriminately. “(V)erified in advance,” they’re hit with pinpoint accuracy, he explained. Russia doesn’t bomb civilian neighborhoods or other nonmilitary sites. US terror-bombing is responsible for horrific war crimes. US-supported eastern Aleppo terrorists use civilian hostages as human shields to reduce their own casualties. “These egregious facts remain without attention from Western countries,” Rudskoy explained. “They neither want to notice (their) crimes nor respond to them.” On Thursday, Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova blasted what she called Washington’s “scorched earth policy in bilateral relations,” threatening world peace and stability. “Russian-American relations (are being systematically) destroyed,” she warned, a “dangerous policy…fraught with (potentially huge) negative consequences.” “What we hear on a daily format - it’s just a lie.” Americans are being manipulated to believe “Russia is an enemy.” With Hillary almost certain to succeed Obama, expect worse ahead, not efforts to reduce tensions.
