I, and the commenters, agree that this list sucks. There's only one location in the southern hemisphere and it's ridiculous to consider.

The fallout from a nuclear war would poison the entire northern hemisphere. Safest places to go would be the southern regions of South America or Africa (although that has its own risks), New Zealand, Falkland Islands, Australia, or Madagascar. Antarctica is a bit too cold, and there is nothing there to eat.
