Let’s not forget what FBI Director Comey’s original position on the Clinton Crime Family was in July — that Hillary Clinton broke numerous laws (lying to Congress and the FBI under oath, destroying evidence after a subpoena, perjury, violating espionage laws, etc.). However, since James Comey possesses special mind-reading powers that no one else in the world has, he was able to conclude that Hillary Clinton did not intend to break all those laws. In other words, James Comey, and only James Comey, knows with 100% certainty that Hillary Clinton’s intentions are nothing but saintly. Clinton did not tell him this; he knows it because of his special min- reading abilities. THIS is what Comey reiterated on Sunday. Let’s also not forget that Martha Stewart was imprisoned for six months for denying to the FBI that she had engaged in insider trading after they accused her of it. She was not even under oath when she declared her innocence, but was sent to prison for “lying to the FBI,” which was not even proven.
Legal scholars, including former attorneys general, have pointed out that intent is not even a relevant legal issue here, but who needs to follow the laws when you’re the FBI director?
