"Many of us will be scared and threatened and we can give comfort. Some of us will be happy because our voice was heard. Either way, it's a challenging moment so let's be extra sensitive and caring with others," Zimmer wrote to the agency's employees.

Across Hollywood, agents, studio executives, producers and thousands of rank-and-file employees showed up at work Wednesday in a daze. A majority of Hollywood's power brokers and up-and-comers supported Clinton. Her roster of donors reads like a who's who of Hollywood, including Universal's Ron Meyer, Jeff Shell and Donna Langley; Warner Bros.' Kevin Tsujihara, Sue Kroll and Toby Emmerich; Paramount's Brad Grey; Sony's Michael Lynton; 20th Century Fox's Stacey Snider; and Disney's Alan Horn. Harvey Weinstein, Legendary's Thomas Tull, CAA's Bryan Lourd and ICM's Chris Silbermann also were donors, and many top figures, including Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes and stars including Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney, hosted events for Clinton. (Entry to an August fundraiser hosted at Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's house was $100,000 per couple.)

There was also super PAC money organized by Jeffrey Katzenberg and Univision's Haim Saban on top of their personal contributions. All told, the Center for Responsive Politics reports Clinton garnered $22 million in contributions from the entertainment industry, compared to a mere $290,000 for Trump.

Now, Clinton's stunning defeat has left Hollywood in shock — and questioning whether it is out of touch with a wide swath of the country by assuming she would win. Or, as CBS Films president Terry Press observed, "political polls are about as reliable as movie tracking."

Well, slap my bottom and hand me to my Mama! Alex's opening statement hit the nail dead on! (My thanks to Artisan and Lod for the video)

Of course it was a most ungracious, no class thing for Hillary to send Podesta out. (General Charles Cornwallis sent a stooge out to surrender his sword to His Excellency, Gen. Washington at Yorktown, too. A lofty British fruit if there ever was one.)

A US Presidential concession speech traditionally requires composure, dignity and good sportsmanship, and I'm guessing that she was wailing at full tilt boogie while savagely kicking little people around backstage.....

The likelihood that those folks worked their innards out for her and were deserving of sincere, heartfelt thanks probably never occurred to the Lesbo King of Sore Losers.

And, in my lifetime I've never witnessed the media stomping on the throttle to undermine the winner like they are now. If I didn't know better I'd say that Soros and the other lizards are genuinely shocked that voters didn't respond to the endless attempts to make The Boss' supporters complacent. The mind games included the announcement that Hillary had it locked up with the superdelegates over a month ago, and the same peeps who never heard of Bill's violently traumatised women victims were suddenly aghast at President-elect Trump's ancient recounting of a fondness for the female anatomy. (which I once shared when I was young enough to pole vault out of bed in the mornings)

The last time I witnessed such a departure from the media talking heads' "professional detachment" was when California's Proposition 15, Handgun Registration Initiative (1982) fell by a margin of two to one. A network anchor actually banged his fist on the desk and shouted, "When are the people gonna learn!" But that brief tantrum was nothing compared to the endless pin stabbing of Trump dolls I've been watching.

The handgun proposition also brought out the rural hayseeds in numbers and it cost former LA Mayor Tom Bradley the governorship. And they haven't fielded a nig... I mean, African American for governor since.

While the polls were still open I called the LA Times and asked who was winning.

"Deukmejian, FOR NOW!" the newsroom hack angrily barked. he wanted to punish me because of my trace of a Southern accent, I suppose.

Classic, and thanks for the memory of those days.
