You said by 1/1/2016 there would be Russian ground troops in Syria. However, there aren't divisions of them launching ground operations, just a select handful of special forces doing their job, and that is a recent development. It's really up in the air, as there are several unpredictable wild cards involved. A) Deep state involvement in trying to overturn the election, or at minimum damage Trump's ability to govern.
