War, War, War See other War, War, War Articles Title: Fake News Reports of Body-Littered Streets in Aleppo Fake News Reports of Body-Littered Streets in Aleppo by Stephen Lendman The battle for eastern Aleppo is over, except for scattered pockets of US-supported terrorists still to be cleared out, Russian conciliation center saying: “The operation by the Syrian Army aimed at liberating the militant-controlled neighborhoods of eastern Aleppo has been completed. The Syrian government forces continue to eliminate isolated pockets of militant resistance.” “The operation of the Russian Center for Reconciliation to evacuate militants and their families from the eastern districts of Aleppo is now complete.” “In some areas, there are still groups of militants from radical and irreconcilable gangs, who are firing at Syria troops.” Assad political and media advisor Bouthiana Shaaban commented on Aleppo’s liberation, noting “(t)he balance of power has changed, and today Russia, China and the allied forces are leading the international scene, not the United States and the West” - supporting the scourge they claim to oppose. Interviewed on RT, Syrian UN envoy Bashar al-Jafaari said 9,500 eastern Aleppo residents and terrorists were withdrawn, the operation completed. He expressed gratitude to Russia for its help. Renegade elements remaining in the city belong to groups “working for Turkish intelligence,” he explained. “We are here in front of hysterical manipulation and distortion of facts covered up by the western media and the so-called (anti-Syria) social media network.” Despicable fake news reporting continues. According to Russia’s General Staff Main Operations Department Lt. Gen. Sergei Rudskoi, “(a) new information campaign is gaining momentum.” “Some Western politicians are saying about allegedly mass victims among civilians during the operation for the Aleppo liberation.” “According to them, the city’s streets are full of corpses while thousands of residents are still hiding in basements. I can say with (full authority) that this information is a blatant lie.” ICRC representatives entered eastern Aleppo districts and neighborhoods, finding “no corpses there.” “Besides, unmanned aerial vehicles were broadcasting in real time to the entire world. Our people are working on the ground and we’re receiving first-hand information rather than information from social networks and militants’ websites.” “(R)adical and irreconcilable gangs” alone remain to be cleared from the city. On Friday, Russian UN envoy Vitaly Churkin explained “actions of the Russian Aerospace Force made it possible to avert a seizure of Damascus by terrorists, to undermine the military and economic foothold of terrorist groupings and to liberate expansive land areas.” Russia is involved in helping to establish dialogue with internal and external opposition groups to build “pan-Syrian consensus” for resolving the conflict diplomatically, including preserving “Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” along with continuing to combat terrorism. Aleppo’s liberation deals a significant blow to Washington’s regional imperial agenda. Syria, Russia and allied forces handed Obama a crushing defeat, ahead of his departure from office in January.
