War, War, War See other War, War, War Articles Title: Syrian Evacuations Resume Syrian Evacuations Resume by Stephen Lendman Humanitarian efforts in Syria often don’t go as planned, dark forces continuing to devastate the country. Rare good news is welcomed. Liberating Aleppo from the scourge of US-supported terrorists may turn out to be a decisive turning point in the war. Yet pockets of renegade elements remain in the city - efforts to evacuate or eliminate them underway. Reports indicate hundreds left with their families Sunday night. According to ICRC Middle East regional director Robert Mardini, “five buses and an ambulance escorted by SARC (Syrian Arab Red Crescent) and ICRC” left eastern Aleppo overnight. Earlier on Sunday, US-supported terrorists set several buses ablaze, en route to Fua’a and Kafraya in northern Idlib province, sent to evacuate wounded residents to government controlled areas. Nothing is certain from day-to-day in Syria, good news welcomed when announced. Overnight Sunday into Monday morning, around 750 injured Fua’a and Kafraya residents were successfully evacuated to government controlled Aleppo. Around another 2,500 are scheduled leave both towns on Monday, if all goes as planned. On Saturday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed conditions in Syria with his Iranian and Turkish counterparts. A Russian Foreign Ministry statement said the ministers stressed the “importance of continuation of agreed efforts of the international community to provide humanitarian assistance to all people in need,” along with working toward “a comprehensive political settlement in Syria based on the UN Security Council Resolution 2254.” “The ministers discussed the situation in Syria in the context of the liberation of the eastern part of Aleppo and the evacuation of civilians from the city as well as the objectives to alleviate the situation of civilians in other parts of the country.” They’ll meet this week in Moscow for further discussions. Cessation of hostilities and conflict resolution throughout Syria remains unattainable as long as Obama remains in power.
