Its part of relentless Russia bashing, along with pressuring Trump against normalizing relations and cooperating with Putin in combating (CIA created and sponsored) terrorism. Not a shred of evidence suggests Moscow interfered in Americas political process in any way. None exists. Otherwise it would have been presented weeks ago. Last month, the White House declared the November election free and fair from a cybersecurity perspective. So why investigate nonexistent Russian hacking? At his week-ago press conference, Obama lied claiming (T)he Russians were responsible for hacking the DNC. He promised serious consequences if Putin didnt cut it out. Was assassinating Moscows ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, what he had in mind, a likely false flag attempt to undermine Putin/Erdogan ties, maybe more hostile actions to follow? On December 22, NYT editors continued hyping phony claims of Russian US election hacking, urging an investigation to hold its government responsible for what never happened, saying: Trump will assume office next month dogged by the question of whether a covert ploy by the Russian government had a decisive effect on his election.
American voters deserve as many details as can be ascertained about Russias role in the campaign
The intelligence agencies concluded that the Russian hacking was meant to help elect Mr. Trump. Fact: The White House, DNI, DHS, CIA, NSA and FBI lied claiming Russian interference. Fact: Putin clearly prefers a friendly US president instead of hostile one, risking possible nuclear war. He didnt interfere in Americas political process to help Trump defeat Hillary. Times editors: Unless Mr. Trumps team actually colluded with the Russian government, it would be in his interest to support congressional Republicans in seeking an independent, comprehensive investigation. Any other position would suggest that he has something to hide or simply doesnt care about the integrity of Americas elections. Are Times editors calling Trump a Kremlin agent? Previous Times articles called him a useful (Kremlin) idiot and Russian poodle. Democracy in America is pure fantasy. US elections are farcical when held. Duopoly power wins every time. Deep state dark forces control things. Is Trump strong-willed enough to go his own way? Will he keep campaign promises or break them? Will he stick to what he said earlier, calling charges of Moscow US election interference ridiculous? Will he normalize Russia/US ties for the sake of world peace and stability? In a few weeks, well begin finding out. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago. He can be reached at lendmanstephen@sbcglobal.net.
