Bwoof! An inert hunk of plastic (ok, a lighter I thought was out of fuel) spontaneously turns itself into a 5" fireball right in the middle of my coffee table. I was able to grab it and run under kitchen faucet without getting serious burns. BP at 34th and Moeller hands out these dangerous devices with purchases of two or more packs of smokes.

Cheap lighter

When I worked concert security there was a way to break lighters so you could get a 8 inch flame.

While working at the Aragon this guy had one of those lighters so I took it from him. When the show was over he wanted to make an issue over it. Four of my crew mates were standing behind me while this guy was bitching. Another guy on the crew was trying to talk with this chick when I was telling him to go home. He kept bitching and the guy talking with this chick told him, "Don't you understand English? Go home!"

He finally got the message. LOL
