Trump heralds GOP's Obamacare alternative as Rand Paul reveals it will focus on low-cost policies

President-elect Donald Trump has revealed the GOP’s plan to repeal and replace Obamacare will provide ‘insurance for everybody.’

Trump said the nearly-finished bill would include ‘lower numbers’ and ‘much lower deductibles’ but declined to reveal any specific details on Sunday, the Washington Post reports.

His comments come just days Republicans announced that they had taken the first steps in repealing the Affordable Care Act, which caused contention and concerns on whether repealing it would leave more than 11 million Americans uninsured.

Trump did not give specific details about the new bill, but said he plans to go after pharmaceutical companies and insist they negotiate directly with the government on Medicare and Medicaid health plans on lower costs. ‘We’re going to have insurance for everybody,’ he said.

‘There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it.

‘That’s not going to happen with us.’ Read more

does this mean that so called 'health insurance' will no longer be compulsory in the united states? if not, the whole lot of them can go F off., to put it nicely.

I've never had health insurance in my life, don't want it, don't need it. am not gonna get it.

people are brainwashed goons to pay for that overpriced garbage as if they are always sick or going to be sick..

how do they live that's so incorrect? I'm sick maybe once a year or two, and it usually mild bronchitis.

you know what I do?

pay the local doc $20 bucks cash and maybe an antibiotic if needed. 60 busks top, 50 bucks per year for ''medical care.'

lol

watching all this other garbage with hysterical people everywhere seriously looks like inmates in an asylum.

You're correct as long as you never get olde; then you may hum a different tune.

Never age, remain young and well.

yes i understand that old people get sick, but it would still never be worth paying $1,000 a month for 30 years and to never eve use it, regardless of what might or might not happen in the future. that works out to $12,000 per year times 30 in the trash. $360,000.

How is that worth it? wouldn't you say better to invest that $$ and pay cash with the proceeds, IF you get 'sick'?

if it came to that id rather gift my estate away and make the state pick up the tab. yes I said it. F the state. I am a huge advocate of F the state, they F us our whole lives. and actually they'd still be coming out ahead in that arrangement.

What do y'all think?

Trust me, a hospital stay will burn 360K, or more, in one month.

wow that's a lot.

I still would like to know whether or not Trump and these republicans who keep saying "replace" obamacare are going to keep health insurance compulsory in America. no one is being direct and honest about this.

Also, even though you are an advocate of buying health insurance, i assume that you are NOT for the gov forcing anyone to buy it. Correct?

Correct, I'm not for the coercion of any purchase nor the prohibition of any, either.
