Look at this short clip where newly sworn-in President Trump turns around and says something to her during Reverand Graham's prayer and at first she is smiling and beaming, but after Trump says whatever he said, immediately her face falls, and extremely sad and crushed,. . All this controversy of 'the look'... If you watch the entire day, you can see that Barron was incredibly anxious and uncomfortable throughout. Melania is also seen peering over to him and whispering with an element of assertiveness. I spent some time studying the videos from all available angles out of curiosity and here's my conclusion: Barron was incredibly uneasy and clearly anxious and noticeably uncomfortable the entire time. He is fidgety and appears to speak to Melania several times. She continuously peers over to him throughout the inauguration and can be seen whispering to him, as if telling him to get a grip. Then, I believe Trump does the same during this point of controversy. Afterwards you see Melania's father speak to Barron as well. Frankly, I think he had to go to the bathroom.
This hypothesis sounds the most probable to me. I very much doubt that Donald said something mean to Melania.
