Billionaire financier George Soros has signed on to be a co-chair of the national finance council for Ready for Hillary, the super PAC created to help Hillary Rodham Clinton win the presidency in 2016, should she choose to run.

Mr. Soros is the first big name with big money to throw his hat in with Mrs. Clinton, and the move, announced Thursday, could attract other big-name donors, USA Today reported.

In October 2013, George Soros signed onto the PAC as a co-chair of the National Finance Council. Soros also donated $25,000 to the PAC. ... On April 12, 2015, Hillary Clinton announced her candidacy for president. In turn, Ready for Hillary began winding down operations and, in compliance with federal election law, altered its name from 'Ready for Hillary' to simply 'Ready PAC'. Take Back America Conference Campaign for America’s Future hosted a “Take Back America” conference at the Marriott Wardman Park hotel. This portion of the program featured speeches by politicians, activists, and others. The speakers generally agreed on the importance of creating a new Progressive movement in America, and criticized the actions and policies of conservatives and the Bush administration. There is a brief interruption in this program.

D-NY Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is the speaker who introduces George Soros. Her 15+ minute speech starts after an intro at 31:49. She first mentions Soros at 36:58, concluding with her opinion at 48:43 that "we need people like George Soros who is fearless and willing to step up when it counts." She asks the audience to please join her in welcoming George Soros and he commends her effective Open Society propagation internationally through 50:10, then incredulously claims at 50:33 to be one of the people she described as never having been actively involved in electoral politics here in this country until that time. Continues speaking until 1:25:40.
