This portion of the program featured speeches by politicians, activists, and others. The speakers generally agreed on the importance of creating a new Progressive movement in America, and criticized the actions and policies of conservatives and the Bush administration. There is a brief interruption in this program.

D-NY Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is the speaker who introduces George Soros. Her 15+ minute speech starts after an intro at 31:49. She first mentions Soros at 36:58, concluding with her opinion at 48:43 that "we need people like George Soros who is fearless and willing to step up when it counts." She asks the audience to please join her in welcoming George Soros and he commends her effective Open Society propagation internationally through 50:10, then incredulously claims at 50:33 to be one of the people she described as never having been actively involved in electoral politics here in this country until that time.
