Dead Constitution See other Dead Constitution Articles Title: Ukrainian Putschists Sue Russia Ukrainian Putschists Sue Russia by Stephen Lendman Kiev’s illegitimate regime is suing Russia in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on false charges of violating the International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism and the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.” Let’s get this straight. The US-installed putschist regime in Kiev, waging terror war on its Donbass citizens, wants Russia held accountable for its own high crimes. You can’t make this stuff up. The case could drag on for months or years, the outcome meaningless as the ICJ has no enforcement authority. Or it could end quickly if it’s justifiably dismissed, how it should be handled. While the case is ongoing, illegitimate president Petro Poroshenko asked the court to "impose provisional measures to prevent Russia from compounding its (nonexistent) human rights abuses,” in Ukraine, according to its foreign ministry. Kiev alleges Moscow supplies Donbass rebels with weapons and other aid. Russian officials deny it. Donetsk and Lugansk are self-declared people’s republics, rejecting fascist rule, wanting democracy Ukrainians are denied. America and other NATO nations provide heavy weapons for Kiev to wage terror-war on its own people, civilians harmed most. Washington, NATO and Kiev falsely accuse Russia of “aggression” in Ukraine. No evidence proves it. Russia categorically denies it. In the Hague on Monday, illegitimate Ukrainian deputy foreign minister Olena Zerkal “requested protection of the basic human right of the (nation’s) people” while Kiev’s military attacks residential areas in Donbass, destroying property, killing and injuring civilians. Zerkal lied, claiming Moscow’s “tactics include support for terrorism and acts of racial discrimination, as well as propaganda, subversion, intimidation, political corruption and cyber attacks.” She lied about the downing of MH17, Kiev responsible for what happened, Washington likely complicit. Moscow and Donbass freedom fighters had nothing to do with it. Russia said it “intends to employ all possible means of legal defense.” Its delegation consists of 35 people, including Roman Kolodkin, Foreign Ministry Department of Treaty and Law director-general and Ilya Rogachev, Department for New Challenges and Threats head. Georgia brought a similar case against Russia earlier. The ICJ ruled it had no jurisdiction, perhaps a similar outcome this time. Stephen Lendman lives in Chicago.
