TEHRAN (FNA)- Representative of the Iranian Jewish community at the parliament Siamak Mareh Sedq blasted Israel's prime minister for his recent remarks against Iran, and said nothing more is expected from "racist" Benjamin Netanyahu.

"Netanyahu is an insane vampire drowned in crimes from head to toe and the recent remarks made by the racist Israeli prime minister is not surprising to me," Mareh Sedq said, addressing an open session of the parliament in Tehran on Tuesday.

He referred to Netanyahu's role in killing innocent Palestinian women and children and occupation of the Palestinian lands, and said nothing is expected from him but nonsense.

Mareh Sedq said contradictory to the statements made by Netanyahu against Iran, anti-Semitism and racism have never been witnessed in the Iranian culture.

In relevant remarks on Sunday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif blasted Netanyahu's remarks, and said he is falsifying the Jews' holy book and resorting to fake history.

"To sell bigoted lies against a nation which has saved Jews 3 times, Netanyahu is resorting to fake history and is falsifying Torah," Zarif wrote on his Twitter account in reaction to the recent anti-Iran claims by Netanyahu.

The Iranian foreign minister said that once again Netanyahu not only distorts the realities of today, but also distorts the past, including Jewish scripture.

"It is truly regrettable that bigotry gets to the point of making allegations against an entire nation which has saved Jews three times in its history,” Zarif added.

Also on Sunday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said that Netanyahu had both misreported Iran’s pre-Islam history and inverted facts. “Apparently, neither he is acquainted with history, nor he has read the Torah,” Larijani said.

Netanyahu made his claims during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Friday by referring to a legend commemorated through the Jewish holiday of Purim, which Israel started celebrating Saturday night.

While scholars do not agree on the accuracy of the Purim story, Netanyahu has constantly referred to the legend as a basis of his anti-Iran arguments in his meetings with different world leaders.
