RI... File this one under "Israel still thinks it's allowed to illegally bomb a foreign country without any consequences":
Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman threatened on Sunday that Israel “will not hesitate” to destroy Syria’s air defense systems if Israeli fighter jets are ever targeted again.
“You have to understand the context, if we strike there is a real reason for it,” he said while visiting the IDF induction center.
The Israeli Defense Minister also claimed that "[Israel] has no interest in intervening in the civil war in Syria, either in favor or against [President Bashar] Assad."
That's hard to believe.
The moral of this story is: Israeli military jets enjoy diplomatic immunity. Harming them under any circumstances is prohibited by the Geneva Convention, the U.N. Charter, and the U.S. Declaration of Independence.
