As everyone knows, Londoners suffered another alt-right worldview validation event yesterday in the now familiar form of a Koranic Karmageddon. Five people are confirmed dead. Some 40 others were horrifically injured, though still insufficiently dead to have been completely exonerated of their white privilege. The (naturally) muslim assailant was apparently well known to authorities as both a conventional criminal and aspiring jihadi. Neither condition seen by authorities as remotely viable reasons to escort him back to his ancestral homeland. Westerners have a mortal obligation to accommodate social justice sensibilities, after all. And if a God sits in heaven, righteousness surely compels him to overweight liberals among those mangled beneath bus wheels. I know each must have perished smiling beatifically at their noble sacrifice. Though such events have by this point almost become unworthy of the 12 hours media organs now allocate to them. The blood of invasion victims striking the pavement is starting to take on the narcoleptic patter of rainfall. That it is a thing of gruesome regularity makes it no less regular. And eventually muslim violence in Europe will attract as much publicity as black violence does in America–which is to say two sentences on page 12. The logic isn’t entirely unsound. The news is for things that are actually news. And Europeans being slaughtered in their own capital cities by foreign infantry is not at all novel, in this age or those prior. The fact that this time they’ve voluntarily imported (and resolutely continue to import) their antagonists is the noteworthy aspect. Though not so much as to warrant the public’s input. It’s all analogous to building bonfires in your own living room. Why keep reporting on the resulting ash heaps? It’s a given. Not that we’d reconsider the practice. Because lighting domestic demographic fires is a religious form of noblesse oblige every Western leader keeps striking the match while making sure it’s some other poor fuck who ends up in a hearse. And that’s not cheap. A massive security apparatus must be erected and maintained as a prophylactic to prevent important people from being burned and unimportant people from complaining about it. This leads to something far-future historians will find endlessly fascinating. The modern philosophy of not allowing carnage to cascade into reason. We feel badly about your colonized countries, wrecked bodies and ruined lives, but we feel real badly about benign nationalism. Let’s not let misfortune lead to disaster. So corpses become trivialities buried by candlelight vigil, the actual purpose of which being to prevent a real tragedy…like an England of English. After such events, man’s gift of rhetorical inspiration is best deployed in service to banalities. Here speaking is the leader of the British people. We shall pile wood upon our living room bonfire and line the walls with asbestos! Well all the best with that, Prime Ministrix. I’m sure Viktor Orban will watch your efforts with envy.
