Soros Called Out By Sheriff Joe – “I Guess He Got His Wish”

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-899198631186649948-1'); });

Sheriff Joe from Maricopa County is calling out globalist, liberal billionaire George Soros by name. And he’s not apologizing for it!

Raw Story reports:

An overcrowded jail known as Tent City—created by former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio to combat overcrowding in jails—will soon shutter, his successor Sheriff Paul Penzone said in a press conference Tuesday.

The announcement was based upon the recommendation of an advisory committee appointed by Penzone when he succeeded the controversial sheriff in January.

“This facility is not a crime deterrent, it is not cost efficient, and it is not tough on criminals,” Penzone said, noting the closure will save the county $4.5 million a year. He also referred to the compound as a “circus” adding, “Starting today, that circus ends, and these tents come down.”

The facility was created by Arpaio as part of his “tough on crime” approach, but as azcentral notes, it “stood largely as a political pawn for its founder,” and was expected to cost around $8.6 million this upcoming year.

The committee, formed by Penzone and headed by former Arizona Attorney General Grant Woods, announced Tuesday that, “After months of study, we are ready to make our recommendations to the Sheriff concerning Tent City.” The committee found that the county suffered from the facility.

Asked for comment about the closing, Arpaio said he was not going to “second-guess” Penzone’s decision, but added, “If I was still the sheriff, those tents would never be gone.”

“George Soros got his wish,” he added. “When he pumped about $5 million against me to get me out of office, he wanted to close Tent City. So I guess he got his wish.”

It’s about time people speak up about what Soros is doing all over this country!

Arpaio should be in prison for the things he has done here.

You have to wonder, watching the self-proclaimed “toughest sheriff in America” prance and preen, just how far Joe Arpaio would go for a publicity stunt. Would he lie? Would he entrap an unsuspecting victim? Would he pretend that his life was in danger? Would he steal a young man’s life?

Jimmy Saville is convinced he knows the answer. He says he lost the prime years of his life – from ages 18 to 22 – proving just how far the sheriff would go.

But don’t expect to believe this young man’s unbelievable story, because it sounds too outlandish, too mean and too horrible to be real. Believe, instead, the word of the jury that freed Jimmy Saville from an un-imaginable nightmare.

“This was a publicity stunt at the expense of four years of someone’s life,” says jury forewoman Fausta Woody.

“This was a big setup from the beginning,” says juror Leslie Prybylski. Another juror, who has requested to be identified as “Lisa,” says she was “shocked – we depend on these people to protect us, and yet they did something so horrible to a little boy.”

Jimmy Saville has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the sheriff for entrapment and wrongful incarceration. And make no mistake about it, this is going to cost every taxpayer in Maricopa County – just as Arpaio has already cost county taxpayers $13.5 million in lawsuits for mishandling or abusing those entrusted to his jails. It’s unlikely Saville won’t collect – even though the Sheriff’s Department strenuously denies it did anything wrong. No, this is probably going to be costly, once it becomes crystal clear what the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and Joe Arpaio did to a Phoenix boy named James Brian Saville.

Much more at link. Thank God this the people finally wised up to this psychopath..

Taxpayers spent $1,102,528.50 this year to settle another of Sheriff Joe Arpaio's lawsuits, New Times has learned through a public records request. The suit was brought by a man whom Arpaio framed in 1999 in a staged murder plot against the sheriff.

The payout, nine years after the wrongful arrest, is an indicaton that the aging lawman's publicity-driven, unsavory antics may keep costing taxpayers big money well into the future. The county is already struggling with a huge budget deficit, and the excessive costs of Arpaio's operation isn't helping matters.

In 2004, victim James Saville’s family sued Arpaio for $10 million, after Saville was found not guilty of attempting to kill the sheriff. The county recently settled with Saville for an undisclosed amount. It only had to pay the above amount out of public coffers; its insurance policy covered the rest.

Before you wish that you could collect $1 million by getting framed for Arpaio's murder, consider that Saville spent four years in county jail, awaiting trial as a result of the made-up crime.

In 1999, Arpaio's staff rigged the entire fake assassination plot – just so he could get his mug on TV.

In a bombshell diversion from his contempt-of-court proceedings, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio testified under oath Thursday that his attorneys had hired a private agent to investigate the wife of the federal judge who ruled that the Sheriff's Office had engaged in racial profiling.

The revelation was the result of direct questioning by U.S. District Judge G. Murray Snow himself, who issued a landmark ruling in 2013 that Arpaio's office had profiled Latinos while conducting illegal-immigration operations.

Thursday was Arpaio's second day on the stand for the civil-contempt proceedings, where he and top aides are facing three broad allegations of defying Snow's orders stemming from the discrimination suit.

But the hearing took a dramatic turn after defense and plaintiffs' attorneys finished their examinations, and Snow announced he had some questions of his own.

After questioning Arpaio on the contempt and immigration matters, Snow shifted his focus to some of the sheriff's more-unorthodox operations, namely involving the sheriff's investigations into public officials. Snow based his questions on allegations cited in a June Phoenix New Times article, and provided a copy for Arpaio to read on the stand.

Republic review of sex-crime cases finds failures by Maricopa County Sheriff's Office

An Arizona Republic investigation into the 400-plus reopened cases reveals the Sheriff's Office failed to adequately investigate reports of abuse and assault -- in some cases never interviewing a suspect or running a background check. Some cases were ignored -- the files were later found sitting in a drawer or in a deputy's garage. Those shortcomings, combined with lengthy delays in resolving cases, left alleged predators free to continue finding other victims, sometimes for years.

The delays also may have led to some cases never being prosecuted. For example, a sheriff's detective took 21 months to follow up on a teenage boy's 2006 allegation of abuse in his home. By the time investigators took the case to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in 2011, prosecutors declined to proceed, citing no reasonable likelihood of a conviction.

The Sheriff's Office delayed for five years an investigation into an allegation against a convicted rapist. While the probe was on hold, another police agency received a report that the same suspect had allegedly assaulted a teenage girl. In another case, the agency ignored for a year one girl's allegation that her horse trainer had molested her. The suspect was accused of molesting three more girls before being indicted.

Criminal pasts don't disqualify members of Arpaio posse

Maricopa County Sheriff's Posse members wear uniforms, have badges, drive county vehicles and some even carry guns. And some of them also have criminal records.

"They have as much power as the deputy wants to give them, including the power to arrest under the supervision of that deputy," said Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Arpaio wants his army of 3,000 volunteer posse members to look like sworn deputies and sometimes perform the same duties. But an in-depth project by CBS 5 Investigates uncovered a number of posse members with arrests for assault, drug possession, domestic violence, sex crimes against children, disorderly conduct, impersonating an officer - and the list goes on.

These are crimes that are not tolerated in many professions, especially professions with an implied authority.

"We have about 600 (members) armed with guns," said Arpaio. "We haven't seen any problems with posse men and women shooting people and everything else. Where are all the problems?"

CBS 5 Investigates discovered that the county does not keep detailed records on posse members. A look into the backgrounds of about 2,000 of them revealed arrests for dozens of different crimes. From there, CBS 5 took a close look at some of the cases that were able to be confirmed.

A person has to be an idiot to believe anything Arpaio says or has said.

Maricopa County Sherriff Joe Arpaio has responded to the National Rifle Association’s call to arms in perhaps one of the most misguided and foreboding of ways: he has rounded up 3,450 volunteers to arm themselves and monitor Arizona schools; the men are to be trained by action actor Steven Seagal, and their number includes sex offenders and domestic abusers.

No schools have requested the service. And with some of the the volunteers on board, the reasons are clear. Dominic Boulter, for instance, was arrested and convicted for attempting to seduce children. A 2009 article says that:

“Boulter began using an online service called Phonezoo.com in early 2005 to meet young girls between 13 and 17 years old. Boulter ultimately exchanged nude photos and text messages with at least eight underage girls from around the country. Boulter also suggested that he meet the girls in person to engage in sex acts and to get married, according to court documents.

As a Phoenix black lawyer I know Joe has done so much harm to violate the civil rights of some many people in Maricopa County. That is why a Phoenix civil rights lawyer needs to stand up to him and Paul.

When I worked for Illinois State Highways, one of the heavies kids were dumpster diving in the Engineer's trash. They found some kind of incriminating evidence and turned it over to prosecutors.

Not sure if anything ever came of it. ;)
