Equally important to discern the motives of (especially) an American president is to understand not only who their allies are, but who their ENEMIES are.
Troubling to me is how quickly Lindsey Graham and John McCain did a complete '180 on going from completely demonizing anything Trump did to completely supporting him (and validating him) because he launched a military strike on Syria.
To hell with the fact that it could spark a thermonuclear war with Russia, and to hell with the fact that THE FACTS still had not been verified that it was actually Assad who launched the gas attacks and not some component of ISIS or Al Qaeda.
Troubling also is the sudden promotions of Trump's daughter (sudden office within the White House) and his son-in-law Jared Kushner suddenly becoming an expert envoy and military advisor of the highest order, sitting in with and swaying military negotiations with Iraq this week.
Those are troubling events that point to a major shift towards status quo Necon poison.
Some are taking notice, and it does not bode well for Trump.
