It is believed that among the options are combined special forces raids and pre-emptive missile strikes

President Trump has ordered his military advisers to be ready with a list of options to smash North Korea’s nuclear threat.

One of the advisers, Lieutenant General H. R. McMaster, confirmed his Commander-in-Chief has made the order as a U.S. carrier strike group heads for the region.

It is believed that among the options are combined special forces raids and pre-emptive missile strikes.

One of the problems facing an American-led operation to hit Pyongyang’s leader Kim Jong-Un is the intricate tunnel network under the capital.

The president has asked [us] to be prepared to give us a full range of options to remove that threat.”

General MacArthur fired by Truman for wanting to put an end to that conflict with tactical nukes as needed - Trump says 'Nuke em'!!' and General McMaster gets the job.

Trump ordered the attack on Syria even though it's no threat to the USA.

Unlike Syria, NK is theoretical threat to the US as they have a ballistic missile program.

Trump just met with the Chinese President a few days ago, and during which time the strike on Syria occurred.

Trump and Xi certainly discussed NK. What we don't know is what kind of blessing, if any, Xi gave to Trump to take action with NK. But given naval forces are being sent tere in the immediate aftermath of the meeting, it would seem some degree of blessing was granted.

I don't think Trump would be sending the fleet there unless he intended to do something with it. Trump is not a bluffer. I think that's apparent to all by now.

If NK doesn't cave in, in a convincing way, I believe something will indeed happen.

Trump is insane and will start WW3. It would have been better if Hillary had been elected.

Even if Trump doesn't start WW3, NK has nuclear weapons and if he bombs NK I have no doubt they can smuggle a couple into the USA. Then goodbye Washington DC and NYC.

Trump is not a bluffer. I think that's apparent to all by now.

Trump laid his hand face up on the poker table.

Xi saw it, Putin saw it.

They are not playing poker with Neville Chamberlain nor Obama.

Good possibility Fat Kim will be shot by some General. If not then he must be gone by whatever means necessary.

Most people here trust the media that WWIII will start no later than this week, all Trumps fault.

Three months from now our same friends here on 4um will try to convince everyone that they never got on the media bandwagon.

What horseshit. Like the lady said on Fox, people need to put their big boy pants on.

Trump orders military advisers to prepare plans to hit North Korea

Another BullBush headline.

There has been plans on file to hit NK ever since 1954,and they are routinely updated.

There are also plans on file to invade Canada and the Galapagos Islands.

Making war plans is what the Pentagram does. It's what they are hired to do. It's even what they are supposed to do.

And it means absolutely nothing in a real world sense. It's all contingency planning so they don't have to scramble to come up with plans in an emergency.

Now that NK has acquired a IBM,you can be sure those plans have been/are being updated because that is the responsible thing to do,not because we ARE going to attack them without provocation.

Doesn't mean a thing.

It's already happened,Fred, and it's been happening without interruption since NK invaded SK in 1951.

It's the equivalent of some news organization shouting in bold headlines "America plans in invading Norwary, and the proof of this is the 82nd Airborne Division was recently seen making parachute jumps in preperation!"

Or,"proof of this is the US Navy was recently seen floating around on ships, and the USAF was seen flying around in airplanes! EEK! EEEK! EEEEK!"

Odds of reunification? And if so, a unified Korea in America's pocket or China's?

Edit: China won't allow a democracy on it's doorstep, will they?

Another BullBush headline.

True...

The media has once again proven that they can and do sway the minds of most Americans, with great ease.

Re contingency...

From 1950 I was part of an A bomb group. stationed on Guam. We were fighting North Koreans but our targets were in... RUSSIA...

Then we were fighting Chinese in Korea, our targets remained in RUSSIA. War was over, our targets remained in...RUSSIA...

Trump is sending ships there to sail off-shore as a show of force, and an excuse for Xi to step on fat boy's neck and tell him to "knock it off or I am going to spank you and send you to your room without any white girl porn!"

When/if anyone reins him in,it will be China, and China WILL rein him in. America is too important as a trade partner to keep the Chinese working instead of revolting, and the Chinese leadership is NOT about to take a chance on NK interfering with that. If push comes to shove, they will remove fat boy from power themselves, and install somebody that knows how to take orders.

If push comes to shove, that is EXACTLY what will happen, and it will be the Chinese behind it,not us.

The truth is,that loon is a MUCH greater danger to China than he is to the US or Japan. Radiation doesn't stop at the border to have it's papers checked.

I don't see that happening anytime soon, but WTF do I really know about State Department level talks? I'm just a bozo with a interweb connection.

Edit: China won't allow a democracy on it's doorstep, will they?

Sure, why not? It's not like Korean herself is any actual danger to China. Hell,China will probably to jump at the chance to buy into their economy. Communism is deal all over the world, with the exceptions on NK,Cuber,Venezuela,America, and other backwards countries.

Although whatever SK evolves into being,it damn sure won't be a democracy. A Constitutional Republic, maybe, but not a democracy. That would be just like handing the keys to the joint to China and telling them "enjoy!"

I think plans for starting WWIII were hatched right about the same time 7 countries needed to be overthown.

Trump is just the puppet of their choosing to carry it out.

I don't think Xi was pleased or impressed with the "signal".

Not militarily or economically, but socially & politically, perhaps yes.

Someone stated not long ago that S Korea's economy is 40x bigger than N Korea's. If NK goes democratic and reunites with S Korea, there would likely be a huge economic growth spurt in NK, and "democracy" would get the credit. China would likely not want millions of Koreans on it's border advertising that. Such a transformation would be very embarrassing for China.

Do you think China is still a communist state?

Communism is a relative term, far from the black n white litmus test application I was taught growing up in the Blessed USA.

Family units are naturally communist in nature. Parents do not apply the "no work, no food" work ethic philosophy to their newborns, after all so there is a proper time and place for "communism".

The US has plenty of wealth redistribution schemes running, Social security being just one. Education and now health care becoming another. I don't know to what degree China does things, but whatever election system they have will get the credit for how the country does. I think the former Soviet Union had about a 5% Communist Party membership, and only they were permitted to vote. Is China like that? I don't even know.

Nice tap dance, but families are dictatorships and always have been. However, they are not governments and they only affect immediate family members who are free to leave any time they want.

Communism is government by police state.

China is no longer Communist and hasn't been in a while. They have set communism aside for a less restrictive and more profitable form of political rule. They have more in common with Wall Street than Mao.
