Russian Expert Stephen Cohen: In 40 Years, I Have Never Been as Worried as I Am Today About Possibility of War with Russia (VIDEO)

On Wednesday Tucker Carlson invited professor Stephen Cohen, professor emeritus of Russian studies at Princeton and NYU and editor of The Nation magazine, to discuss current US relations with Russia.

Cohen told Tucker he was very concerned about the current geopolitical situation and warmongering by the Democrat Party and Lindsey Graham.

Stephen Cohen: They think we’re crazy… You quoted Russian the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev saying we’re on the brink of war. He also said, and I’ve been doing this 40 years and I don’t remember a Soviet or post-Soviet leader saying this, Medvedev said American and Russian relations are absolutely ruined. What is important is Medvedev is considered to be the most pro-Western member of the Putin leadership. He’s the guy that Obmama and Clinton tried to base the reset on…

…What’s happened in Washington, this attempt to portray Trump as a puppet of the Kremlin, it’s convincing Russia that the American warfare party is behind this. And my concern is that Russia will overreact… Give me five seconds. I’ve been doing this 40 years, sometimes as a professor, sometimes inside, and I have never been as worried as I am today about the possibility of war with Russia.

Damned good thing he was not around when Truman and Ike were in charge.

He would have been crying in fear, maybe even wetting himself.

Other presidents like Kennedy, Reagan, and Clinton knew a war with Russia or the USSR was unwinnable and talked to reduce the number of nuclear bombs. Trump however is insane and believes a nuclear war with Russia can be won. Instead of decreasing the number of nuclear weapons, the insane fool wants to increase them.

A nuclear war with Russia would destroy both the USA and Russia as there is no defense against the Russian RS-28 ICBM; a wonder of modern technology, capable of flying in excess of five times the speed of sound, altering its trajectory to confuse anti-missile radars, releasing decoys, and delivering 15 independently targetable nuclear warheads (each one 10 times as powerful as the bombs the United States dropped on Japan at the end of World War II).

Perhaps it is possible to shoot down one or two nuclear warheads but certainly not hundreds of them. In that case, 98% would reach their target. Even if by some miracle, only 90% reached their target, what good that do? More than 300 million Americans would die.

There is a rather extensive list of countries that have nuclear weapons.

World Population Control

True but it was be a mass extension killing 70% of all species on earth. No doubt some billionaires would survive in their underground shelters with a year's supply of food. Radiation would be minimal (1 part in 10,000) after 3 months. Likely there would be no mammals or birds or much vegetation. However, they would have seeds they could plant. Life would be primitive and difficult but a few humans and their descendants would survive.
