Media scoundrels seek pretexts to bash its government and leadership - the latest example from the neocon/CIA-connected Washington Post, serving as a virtual house organ for the spy agency, putting out material it wants published, suppressing what it wants concealed. On Monday, it claimed Trump revealed highly classified information (on ISIS) to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and its ambassador to Washington Sergey Kislyak during their White House visit last week. Its hard imagining what Trump may have disclosed that Russia doesnt already know - likely more than him, given his focus on domestic affairs, delegating geopolitics to others, especially warmaking authority. Citing the usual unnamed sources, alone making its report suspect, WaPo claimed Trump disclosed information jeopardiz(ing) a critical source of intelligence on ISIS. The CIA may have been source, not a US partner, as WaPo reported. Claiming the information is so sensitive that details have been withheld from allies and (are) tightly restricted even within the US government sounds like hyperbole to bash Trump and Russia, not truth-telling. Saying Trump revealed more information to the Russian ambassador than we have shared with our allies requires a giant leap of faith in WaPo reporting to believe. Whatever was discussed by Trump with Lavrov and Kislyak appears way overblown by WaPo. Citing unnamed critics, claiming alleged information disclosed amounts to attempted obstruction of justice is way over-the-top. According to WaPo, Trump went off script and began describing details of an Islamic State terrorist threat related to the use of laptop computers on aircraft - claiming this type discussion with an adversary is illegal. National Security Advisor HR McMaster said Trump shared common concerns about terrorism, including threats to aviation. At no time were any intelligence sources or methods discussed, and no military operations were disclosed that were not already known publicly, he stressed. He called WaPos report false. It appears to be another attack piece, blowing things way out of proportion to bash Trump and Russia irresponsibly. The CIA and NSA havent commented. WaPo suppressed whats most important. Washington created and supports ISIS - recruiting, arming, funding, training and directing its fighters, used as imperial foot soldiers where theyre deployed. The same goes for al-Nusra and other likeminded groups, proxy US boots on the ground - NATO, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Israel and other American rogue state allies involved, supporting these fighters. Russia knows whats going on. Washington isnt combating ISIS, its fighters and other terrorist groups used to serve US imperial interests. WaPo, like other Western media, suppresses what should have been explained long ago. Americas so-called war on terrorism is a fabricated hoax, a fear-mongering pretext for aggressive wars, along with homeland police state control. WaPo, The New York Times and other media scoundrels are agents of wealth, power and privilege, publishing what they want people to know, suppressing whats most important.
