America haters never mention the story and photos of American "atrocities" machine gunning German prisoners in WWII.

Why is that???

The photos of such happening are available on the internet.

I don't know, Cyni. But here is what I found in Wiki:

Chenogne massacre

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chenogne Massacre

Location

Coordinates: 49.992°N 5.618°E

Date January 1, 1945

Attack type Mass murder

Deaths 60 Wehrmacht soldiers

The Chenogne massacre is the killing of Wehrmacht prisoners by American troops near the village of Chenogne, Belgium, on January 1, 1945. The massacre was carried out shortly after Malmedy when captured American soldiers were gunned down by members of the Waffen SS. It was one of several war crimes that took place during the Battle of Bulge involving the Allies and Axis forces. The events were covered up at the time and none of the perpetrators were punished. Post war historians believe the killings were based on senior commanders given verbal orders that "no prisoners were to be taken".[1]

There is a reason we never hear of "bad" things we did to Germans, but we are engulfed with horror stories concerning, Japanese, Koreans and Vietnamese.

A+ if you come up with the answer.

There are few left that can remember the Japanese.

My mother was in love with a Sea Bee, but he was killed in the South Pacific.

Then she met my Dad at a dance hall. She always told my sisters, "Never marry someone you meet at a dance hall." :-/

Seldom do the "winners" mention their atrocities in their memoirs or history books.

One needs to think and consider, WHY is there endless Self-flagellation by American media concerning American behavior in war, with all adversaries, EXCEPT THE GERMANS?

Anything we did with them is acceptable.

And you received an "I" for "idiot".

How old are you? Obviously not old enough to remember the "take no prisoners" attitudes of the soldiers and Marines that stormed ashore on Asian beachheads,or all the stories told of them taking gold teeth from the mouths of dead Japanese soldiers.

The only US war opponent I ever heard of that got the kid glove treatment is the Italians of WW-2. Mostly because the Italian people, and even a lot of the Italian army liked us better than they did Mussolini and his fascist pals, and often surrendered without a fight at the first opportunity.

AND.....,for the most part the German soldiers were treated humanely by the American troops that captured them or to whom they surrendered. It was the SS that paid the price for the things they had done.

Clearly,they did.

Anyone remember the US versus the USSR rocket race, where both sides were playing "OUR Nazi scientists will kick YOUR Nazi scientists asses!"

Not to mention the famous Nazi intelligence head of the German spy network in Eastern Europe. I can't remember his name right now,but he practically became a US hero when he surrendered to American forces with his files of Nazi agents in the east AND in the west.

Thanks to King Franklin and his commie wife we were totally unprepared to deal with Soviet agents and spy networks,so when Truman took over he had nothing to work with. The Nazi spy master not only surrendered with all his records,he basically taught us how to run spy networks in Europe and helped us set them up.

Just remembered his name, It was General Richard Ghelin. It is no exaggeration to say that without him and his files there is a very good chance all of Europe would be speaking Russian these days. We had no defense against or even any understanding of how the Soviets were spreading communism until he showed up.

Abusive language is indicative of the moral character of a person.

The F was warranted by an obvious lack of an intellect well grounded in history and total absence of a geo/political schooling.

My brother wrote in spring of 1945 this...

"The German common people of the countryside were happy to see them". He lost his life there, remains there somewhere today.

History lesson, the A bomb was hurried for use AGAINST THE HATED GERMANS BY WORLD JEWRY. It was never meant for use against Japan.

Had it been used against Germany we would NOT have this moral hand wringing we undergo for using it against Japan.

Killing hundreds of thousands of Germans in a flash would have been morally acceptable, then and now.

The fact that we would lose another half million American boys in Japan IS NOW ACCEPTABLE.

Don't forget the Japanese. We may have hanged a few senior officers, but the deal was we let the Emperor keep on being the Emperor by pretending he had nothing to do with the war.

CORRECT history lesson,The A bomb was hurried for use against the Nazi's because they were considered to be a much more dangerous threat than the Japanese.

And they were.

Normally I charge for history lectures etc, this one however is free of charge.

There seems to be a great need of such among all ages.

Students of all ages when caught short, fall back to a position of offensive language rather than resorting to learning.

The Nazi's were conducting experiments using "heavy water" in development of nuclear weapons.

This was the wrong direction, and it turned out that nuclear fission was the answer. ;)
