Authorities believe the deaths were part of a domestic violence incident. The investigation is in its early stages and officers are keeping an open mind, however it is believed that the incident is domestic related, Merseyside police said in a statement. The man who was arrested was taken to a hospital, before being released, and brought to a police station for questioning, the BBC reported. Police identified the bodies of a woman and two children at the Falkner Street flat. Police are not looking for any additional suspects. Buildings on Falkner street were evacuated Tuesday following a report of a fuel leak inside the former Lennon home. Authorities are performing tests on a substance found at the scene, police said. Neighbors said the home belonged to a young family with two toddlers, the BBC reported. It was a frequent stop on Beatles fan tours of the city. Tour guide Jay Riley told the BBC that Lennon and his first wife Cynthia Lennon had once occupied the flat, which belonged to Beatles manager Brian Epstein. Epstein, who was gay, kept it as a secret apartment. Up until 1967 in England it was illegal to be gay. This is why it was called his secret apartment, Riley told the BBC. Riley said that Lennon wrote the song Do You Want to Know a Secret in the apartment. Its title was inspired by the apartments backstory. The murder investigation is ongoing. As of Thursday, residents had returned to their homes, but the street remained closed. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread
