RI Staff Subscribe to 955 Sat, Jun 3, 2017 | 8169 64 Putin is relentless. Speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Friday, Putin theorized that Angela Merkel's recent outburst about not being able to rely on the United States anymore "was an expression of her resentment over a limited sovereignty." Merkel may enjoy having her phones tapped by her "allies" in Washington, but Putin is less than impressed: There are not so many countries in the world that enjoy the privilege of sovereignty. I don't want to offend anybody, but what Ms Merkel said is an expression of her resentment over a limited sovereignty. I assure you of that, whatever she answers later on. Within the framework of the military-political alliances, it is restrained on official terms. It is determined what is allowed and what is not allowed. And in practice, it is even harsher. You must not do anything that is not allowed. And who is giving that permission? The leadership. And where is the leadership? It's far away. Poster Comment: Germans because of their industriousness, organization and ingenuity have as much sovereignty as anyone else, more than Russia whose well-being depends on others buying it gas and oil. Germans do depend on US and the rest of the world markets for sale of their pricey high tech stuff, but sales are easy; you want the best then buy German. And Merkel has been careful not to gaff up this arrangement, a business subtlety Putin seems unaware of having been brought up as a bureaucrat. He seems to be implying Merkel needs US permission but is either unaware or pretending he doesn't know America is least sovereign among nations since its Congress is "chosen" by Israel which is an illegal entity under international law. And it's not a world policeman as so often referred but a hired hood/enforcer employed by the Zionist mafia. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread
