A collimated nuclear burst might have been necessary to weaken the central steel supports, but was perhaps not sufficient to initiate the actual floor on floor, domino-like collapse, which then could have been initiated with well-placed charges at the floor where the planes impacted the tower. Thus, a nuclear device and conventional explosives (whether thermite, “nanothermite,” TNT or whatever) are not necessarily mutually exclusive. The specifics are way beyond the untrained lay person, and who really cares? The important thing is to debunk the official version and initiate a real investigation. All the back and forth debunkings of this or that little detail that somebody has proposed are useless and part of the calculated distractions and psyops. From the little I read of Smith’s criticisms of Bollyn and Jones, it seems to me he did not prove that conventional explosives (again, whether thermite, “nanothermite,” TNT or whatever) were not present. What he showed was that many of Bollyn’s and Jones’ arguments were faulty and did not prove the presence of nanothermite, as the observations such as elements present in debris and angular cuts on steel beams had alternate explanations. I didn’t study any of the arguments/counterarguments in detail because as I said above, it’s simply not necessary for debunking the official version. Similarly, you don’t have to believe James Stiles’ or E. Howard Hunt’s confessions to know the Warren Report was baloney. the Thylacine.... A-R, even the best are unreliable. VT’s Unreliables are legendary for inconsistency, but their nuclear file is the best. The entire 9-11 truth movement was sucked in by Bollyn’s and Jones’ ‘nano-thermite’ fallacy until Jeff Smith investigated. No-one makes commercial quantities of it. 180 tons of it would have been required to annihilate the towers. US Geological Survey, on the other hand, has tested the New York City dust samples and recorded extremely high concentrations of radioactive breakdown elements, at lest a dozen isotopes only found as the aftermath of a nuclear detonation. The Twin Towers were nuked. Nothing else can explain the dustification of hundreds of thousands of tons of concrete, and rivers of molten steel. The survival of paper and other things is also a clue that fire did not consume the towers. The parked cars which were strangely burned exactly matched the great yards of Volkswagens fried at Tientsin, when mini-neutron bombs were also used. Thuc__You found the bomber, huh?
