After spending hours the other night reading the Clown Posse website, my computer has come down with all sorts of problems, I can hardly type now as the letters take a lot of time to appear after I type. My computer is running very slow, and the curser is turning into double arrows and in general, this computer is now trashed. I'm not going to have a computer or internet for awhile, as I need to send this in to get fixed which takes weeks. This happened to me before after visiting the Clown Posse site to read. I don't know much about computer technology, it could just be coincidence that after reading CP a couple of times my computer becomes practically unusable. I'll be checking in from time to time on friend's computers but probably not much. Good luck to everyone and stay safe.

No..... In Internet Explorer, click on Tools > internet options > (new dialouge box "internet options" appears and halfway down you see "temporary internet files") delete cookies & yes > delete files & check delete offline content & yes > settings > view files & verify new window that opens is empty. if it is, close it. if not, edit > select all > delete key > close window > click ok to return to "internet options". click ok to close the internet options box. That deletes the cookies and cache. To disable Active X from IE, we return back to tools > internet options. If you notice at the top, there are several tabs. General, Security, Content, Connections, etc. Click on the Security Tab, should be second from left. Make sure the globe marked "Internet" is highlighted. At the bottom of the box, you should see buttons for "Custom Level" and "Default Level". Click on custom level. The first several options that appear will be for Active X. You'll have a few choices for each with among them being to disable. Click OK until to exit out of everything and back to IE. In Firefox, to clear cache, click on Tools > Options > Privacy tab or button (with newer Firefox) and there should be a button to click that says to the effect "Clear Cache" or "Clear Everything". Netscape. If memory serves, Edit > Preferences > Advanced and then there should be a button mid screen to clear cache. Good luck with everything.

Diana, please do me and yourself a favor and check out a "Mac Mini" - you can get one for around $500, just use your existing keyboard, mouse and monitor. (Assuming you have a USB keyboard and mouse, and a DVI connection for your monitor, both of which are the modern interface standards, and which you most likely already have). Just go to an Apple store or a CompUSA, and check one out. For your needs, a Mac Mini will be more than enough machine for you, especially now that they just released a new Mac Mini based on the intel DuoCore processor. Please, at least just take a look, give it a try. I think you'll find it's worth considering.

I posted there a couple of times as a newbie("how do I work this site"), but I only registered to get to the good stuff in the restricted area. I heard so much about the ~shocking controversy~ of CP on this and other sites, I had to check it out. I was disappointed, most of the heckling was just mean. Now I know where nopardons came from. There was one pretty funny thing, though: my first impression of the site where christine and zip used to hang was that it was probably a cop site to attract domestic terrorists, so when I finally got onto CP and saw someone calling her "Agent Red Panties" with a little cartoon of some red panties with "FBI" embroidered on them, that was pretty funny to me. I understand I missed out on some nice pics.

Changing screen names was not really in the design, though I may make that possible. The system should work fully with the apostrophe and other characters now shown on the register page. The problem has been fixed, and I updated the DB so you can now see all your past pings, though the "To" line on past pings will still show just "Brer".
I see the problem. Ping list is not populated without the apostrophe. Why not just reset without the apostrophe? Can you do that? or add a space so the mark shows?
BTW: I have a better name for the software .... Microsoft Internet Exploder.
