Seems to me that stopping traffic in this way constitutes illegal detainment, or perhaps may even qualify as kidnapping. Doubtless the driver will be arrested & questioned, but perhaps not charged. If he can show he was in fear for his life then.... The video does show that the driver was threatened with physical harm at least twice, and his truck was being attacked & damaged at the point when he proceeded through the rioters. And at that point, I would conclude they were rioters not protesters. A civil trial may be in order between the protester/rioter & the driver, maybe. Be interesting to know if any more traffic was stopped there that day.

Was about to say the same thing, although I thought it happened a few months ago around the time of various anti-Trump protests. It was the first time I saw it around that time, but apparently it was a full year ago. This sort of reminds me when we went on a hit on the Latin Kings in Chicago. A bunch of my buds from the neighborhood were along and I was driving the old Blazer. We pulled up on side street and they jump out and walk around the corner. A few minutes later they all came running back and the Ricans were right behind them. They all piled in the back of the truck and I took off. One Rican had a crutch and wanted to put it across my windshield. I flipped the steering wheel right and BING he went flying. I got to corner and made a hard right. One of the guys was hanging on the back of truck and he went flying off. He got up and ran as fast as he could to meet us at the next corner. Somebody correct me if I am wrong,but didn't the twit standing on the passenger side tell the one guy to step out of the truck and "I will fuck you in the mouth!"? Them's fighting words,as well as a threat of homosexual rape where I come from. I just hope they demand a jury trial,and the jury gets to see and hear what was said with captions. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.

Earlier in the day, Soto said officers would not arrest the 18-year-old pickup driver. Police are continuing to investigate the incident and the chief said that the activists had no permit to march in the street but are allowed on the sidewalks without one.
