And Larry Silverstein made out like a bandit on 2 claims of double indemnity on the insurance policies for the Towers. Though this failed to cover the cost of rebuilding the complex.
When WTC 7 collapsed in its own footprint all of the computer hard drives were destroyed thus hiding the identities of those who made immense profits from short selling the stock of the airline companies involved in the events of the day.
All in all, this was a very bad day for New York and the rest of the nation. And it gave rise to the War on Terror and U.S. invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Though it is known for certain that Iraq was invaded because Saddam was accepting Euros in payment for oil. This violated the U.S. policy of Dollar Supremacy. Saddam was bypassing the U.S. Dollar by trading Euros for oil and he had to go. ;)
