Immigration is what has lowered wages, raised taxes and made rent exorbitant. I was born in Oakland. I have not been there since 2007 but it was never like what you see in this video. I checked Craigslist. You can rent a 1,000 sq ft flat for a mere $2,500 a month. It is just north of the above street dwellers who are near the freeways as you come into Oakland from across the Bay Bridge.
It is a tent city. And not just on the sidewalks and shoulders of the road. They are in the street too. How can this be allowed to go on?
Of course I can recall when I was kicked out of my apartment and had to live in my pick up. I was taking showers at the Municipal Campground. It was grungy but at least I got myself cleaned. :-/

If the feds and the state wanted to do something to stop this, they can. Enforce the laws on the books and the wetbacks will leave this country on mass. BUT the real problem: DINOs want votes and the RINOs want cheap labor. BTW; no frelling wall will help stop them. repeat: enforce the laws on the books

"We need a wall because they wouldn't let us have a border," said somebody somewhere online. A wall could stop illegal aliens, for the most part, in conjunction with State Militia defense forces stationed along those borders, for instance. And they shouldn't have to volunteer for that hazardous duty with no payment. Perhaps they could be paid with State Militia Volunteers: Border Security Appreciation Certificates for their time and efforts that would be usable for purchasing goods and services in the commerce sector at businesses agreeable to sponsor such an endeavor - or as gift exchanges: their State service for donated products, vehicle repairs and such of comparable value. Enforce the Second Amendment, including the part about Militia being necessary to the security of a free State.
