The Russian lawyer who met with US President Donald Trump’s oldest son last year says he indicated that his father would be willing to reconsider sanctions imposed on Moscow in 2012. Natalia Veselnitskaya made the comments in an interview with Bloomberg in the Russian capital Moscow on Monday. In the run-up to the 2016 presidential election, Veselnitskaya met with Donald Trump Jr., as well as President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and then campaign manager Paul Manafort in New York. The meeting had been arranged by Trump Jr. in an effort to find damaging information about Clinton. Veselnitskaya has agreed to appear before the investigators on condition that her statements be made public.
