Well written. It flows nicely, is aptly descriptive and the plot gets a good kickstart.

Do you have the whole book already written or is this an ongoing project?

I've seen web sites for publishing novels. Success no longer requires impressing a publisher like it used to. Instead you just need to have it get enough seed attention and praise from a few readers for it to essentially go viral with popularity.

I'm hooked; keep'em coming please.

I will try to put a chapter or two here per day.

I'll take you up on that. Or try to, as time allows. As I said the first chapter is well written so if that keeps up....

I couldn't promise more than a chapter a day though. Probably less as I've got other demands on my time but I will try.

I have half a mind to write a book as well (like so many others, I suppose). The story I already have in mind would be of the same genre. I.e. middle ages, feudal setting, swords and such. But skill and creative energy are necessary ingredients to do such things.

You may wish to create a ping list for your chapter postings. That would make it easier to find them.

write a book

I always wanted to do that to show people the shenanigans that went on when working on the state highways. I never did get to start on it. But I've been thru some tough snow storms up north. One time they call me in 3 hours early for 18 hour shift. Now if you are thinking that would be dangerous, you are right. It was very dangerous. We had to do the job since there was no one else to do it. So we were exempt from hours of service regulations. ;)
