Almost thirty years ago, the Soviet Union came to a dramatic end. Decades of atrocious economic, social and foreign policy eroded the country’s standing in the world until it completely collapsed. Now, the US – once the most formidable rival of the Soviet Union – seems to be following in their footsteps. Will the US empire end in collapse as well?
This week, former presidential candidate and hero of the liberty movement, Ron Paul, said that he thinks the US is on the verge of a Soviet style collapse. In a recent interview with the Washington Examiner, Paul said:
“We’re on the verge of something like what happened in ‘89 when the Soviet system just collapsed. I’m just hoping our system comes apart as gracefully as the Soviet system.”
Ron Paul’s prediction is quite ominous, but I happen to believe that he is on to something. In 1984, Yuri Bezmenov, a former KGB propagandist, appeared on national television with a startling message. He said that ever since the Cold War between the US and Soviet Union started, the Soviet Union was actively brainwashing young American students into being sympathetic to Marxist/Communist ideas. Those young students are now professors, politicians, military personnel, entertainers and business people. They are now implementing Marxist/Communist ideals at the highest levels of the nation. It does not take more than a quick glance at mainstream thought to see the overwhelming influence of the Soviet Union’s propaganda in action. Below is the truly shocking interview.
