Any masked person should be fair game

I can recall way back in the late 70s we went on a hit on the LKs. Four or five guys walked around the corner. A few minutes later they all came running back with the Ricans right behind them.

One of the guys got caught by 2 of them. He reached up and grabbed them by their fro's and bashed their faces into the brick wall. All of them were piling into the back of the Blazer. I took off.

There was a Rican with a crutch. He wanted to put it across the windshield. I flicked the steering wheel right and BING, knocked him for a loop. I went flying around the corner and one of the guys who was hanging on the back of the truck went flying off.

He got up and started to run. We made a U turn in the middle of Kedzie and Lawrence intersection to pick him up. A Rican had come at him with a knife and he kicked it from his hand and kept running. It was quite a night and the guy that beat the faces of 2 of them on the wall beat us home on foot about 8 blocks away. ;)

I am lucky to remember any of that because the meningitis wiped out much of my memory.

I am starting to recall a lot of the truck driving I did too from coast to coast at one time. ;)
