President Trump Declares War On CNN, Makes Demand That Leaves Their CEO Flustered
President Trump took jabs at former President Obama on Tuesday while tweeting about his rise in approval ratings while also telling CNN President Jeff Zucker that he needs to fix CNN’s problem with fake news, reports The Washington Free Beacon.
Trump started by saying that various “fake news networks” have an agenda and should be considered fiction. He defended the quality of Sinclair Broadcasting Group, which has been under fire for its management of local news affiliates around the country.
He also accused CNN of requiring employees to be “totally anti-Trump,” and he mocked Zucker accusing him of being the main problem for CNN and it’s constant production of lies about the Trump administration.
Trump also hit back at critics who say he is unpopular by noting a recent Rasmussen poll showing his approval rating at 50 percent, and he said that number is higher than that of “cheatin’ Obama” at the same point in his presidency.
He also called on Congress to pass legislation related to immigration and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), while also saying a caravan coming to the U.S. border ought to be stopped in Mexico.
“The big Caravan of People from Honduras, now coming across Mexico and heading to our ‘Weak Laws’ Border, had better be stopped before it gets there,” Trump said. “Cash cow NAFTA is in play, as is foreign aid to Honduras and the countries that allow this to happen. Congress MUST ACT NOW!”
