Splinter group of 50 Central Americans from the migrant caravan arrived in Tijuana, Mexico on Wednesday The first wave of the migrant caravan has hit the US border, with a group of about 50 seeking asylum at the Tijuana crossing into California. The group of 50 Central American migrants who set out from southern Mexico in late March arrived in Tijuana, Mexico on Wednesday, after splintering off from the original caravan of 1,500. 'Since yesterday, some began to cross into the United States to turn themselves in from Tijuana and request asylum. We understand more of (the migrants) will do the same,' said Jose Maria Garcia, director of Juventud 2000, an organization dedicated to assisting migrants. He said more migrants, many of whom are stranded in Mexico's central states, are expected to arrive in the coming days. The splinter groups headed toward the US have been undeterred by President Donald Trump's threat to deploy the National Guard along the border, after Trump called California's contribution to the mission a 'charade'. Another group of 500 was spotted on Saturday in Hermisillo, Sonora riding freight trains north to the border
They plan to cross into US and claim asylum; claimants are usually released into the US pending a court date

I remember history.... I remember when the Irish and Chinese came here by the boat load to build our railroad and build new lives. Back then it was just a potentially lethal ride on a ship and a signature. Youre in. Jobs be that way. So let's see some consistency with the liberals. Why don't the sanctuary governors, county admins, mayors and anti-borders agitators run down there and welcome the horde in, giving each dreamer free everything? Nothing seems to have changed. The asylum seekers for the most part are permitted to come in. Don't know what the National Guard id supposed to do-- they have no arrest powers or weapons.
And Strump is a big total nothing on this whole deal while augustly striding about bombing other countries -- right? Rather than building a wall, the first step IMO to curtail illegal immigration would be to abolish all social services to illegals. Legal immigration should probably be substantially reduced although I can appreciate that we might owe some sort of refuge to people whose countries we have destroyed.
Oh but we can't think about any of that right now. Israel needs our help!

The National Guard are from the Militias of the States. The Militias of the States are authorized by the Constitution to enforce law. That was our first guest worker program. America has been falsely accused as racist against the Chinese/Asians ever since that program was ended because we no longer needed the extra laborers. That's the thanks we got and our Citizenship laws damaged too by the infamous Wong Kim Ark SCOTUS fiasco, even though (iirc) part of the terms with China to import Chinese laborers was that their Chinese citizenship status not be altered. The penalties there for that were atrocious, as noted in the Dissenting Opinion of Chief Justice Fuller. During WWII, with so many American men away at war, Mexicans were offered a guest worker program to help here with cropwork. Again, when the program was ended because we no longer needed the extra labor, America has been falsely accused ever since of racism against Hispanics that aren't even really a race but an ethnicity. That's the thanks we got and our guest worker programs refashioned as if guaranteed income Entitlements for foreigners. Summary: Seven conservative states are suing the White House to force them to end DACA. Seven states have come together to sue President Donald Trump. They want him to end the controversial DACA program, which provides work permits to thousands of undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States when they were children. The lawsuit was filed by Texas’ attorney general, according to the Los Angeles Times. The program, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, began in 2012 under President Barack Obama’s administration. It protected eligible undocumented immigrants from deportation and allowed them permits to lawfully work and go to school in the US. Since its inception, almost 690,000 people known as Dreamers have enrolled. The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Texas was joined by Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, South Carolina and West Virginia. “Our lawsuit is about the rule of law, not the wisdom of any particular immigration policy,” Paxton said. “Left intact, DACA sets a dangerous precedent by giving the executive branch sweeping authority to ignore the laws enacted by Congress and change our nation’s immigration laws to suit a president’s own policy preferences.” The lawsuit wants the federal government to stop issuing work permits to Dreamers and to declare DACA unlawful. It is not requesting the deportation of Dreamers or the revocation of their permits. However, Dreamers stand unprotected if the program ends. In September of last year, Trump announced that he would end DACA as part of his plan to fight illegal immigration. The move was met with outcry from Democrats, who filed their own lawsuits to uphold DACA. Those cases are pending. Thomas Saenz, president and general counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, said that this week’s lawsuit was “ignorant” of the law. “Today’s filing by seven retrograde states comes nearly six years after DACA was introduced and many weeks after three other federal courts began to order that the DACA initiative continue despite Donald Trump’s attempt to end it,” Saenz told NPR. “With a federal attorney general who erroneously and precipitously advised Trump that DACA is unlawful, today’s lawsuit is plainly collusive between two attorneys general each egregiously ignorant of the law.” This week’s lawsuit was a fulfillment of a promise made by Paxton last year. He threatened in June that if Trump did not end the program then he and other state AGs would file. Proponents of DACA argue that its removal could lead to Texas losing 100,000 workers and cost the country billions of dollars in losses. They also said that the end of the program could result in countless families being separated by deportation, according to the Texas Tribune. Paxton has stated that DACA oversteps the law and was unconstitutional. Isn't that exciting? No surprise 5 or 6 of them are Southern states, except that SC's politicians are so rotten I'm surprised to see it among them.

The asylum seekers for the most part are permitted to come in.
Legitimate asylum seekers are supposed to ask for asylum in the first safe country they get to, they are not supposed to be ‘asylum shopping’ for better deals!
To get here from Honduras, so-called "asylum seekers" would have crossed 4 borders of no less than 2 countries. These are the 4 countries which legitimate asylum seekers should have applied to for that: Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize. Instead, this traveling circus went through Mexico too without their pretense of asylum being processed and granted there.
