Gathering together in a campaign-style rally, supporters of US President Donald Trump are suggesting that he deserves to be given the Nobel Peace Prize after thaw on the Korean Peninsula.

Trump’s nemesis, former President Barrack Obama, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize less than a year at the White House in 2009.
Trump responded humbly, asserting, "That's very nice, thank you. That's very nice… "I just want to get the job done."

A historic summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in raised prospected of peace and denuclearization on the peninsula.
The North Korean leader crossed the border into South Korea on Friday, marking the first time a North Korean leader has ever set foot on South Korean side.
The two leaders have agreed to discuss a peace treaty to formally end the Korean War, in which a UN force led by the United States fought for the South, and China fought for the North from 1950 to 1953.

The fighting ended when 1953 Korean War Armistice Agreement was signed. However, no peace treaty has been signed since then, meaning the United States and South Korea are technically still at war with North Korea.
