World News See other World News Articles Title: NEW AIR DEFENSE SYSTEM INSTALLED IN HOMS LEADING TO FAILED ZIONIST ROCKET ATTACK Syrpers... HOMS: On May 25, 2018 at approximately 7:00 p.m., Syrian Army radar detected several missiles fired from Zionist aircraft flying over the Mediterranean near the Lebanese coastline. The Syrian and Iranian militaries have been boosting their air defense capabilities substantially since pre-emptive attacks by the Zionist Settler State targeted various positions in which Iranian-backed militias have purportedly been setting up bases. This morning was no exception. The Zionist attack aimed at new air defense and early warning radar equipment at a base near the village of Al-Dhab’ah (the female hyena-See map) While I do not know how many missiles were fired by the Zionist aircraft, almost all were intercepted and destroyed by a variety of weapons systems including Shilkas. The missiles which were not destroyed, luckily, fell harmlessly into the desert. The new air defense equipment came from Iran and will become operational within the next few hours. This will be a great relief to the brave soldiers and militiamen who had to withstand desperate attacks by crazed Zionist warmongers in a doomed effort to forestall the arrival of the armies which will help the SAA to rid all Palestine of the stench of Zionism. Some of you might have heard talk recently about Zionist politicians trying to get the U.S. to recognize Zionist ownership of the Golan Heights. I don’t have to tell you that such recognition would be flat-out violation of international law. Comments: Canthama The attack last night was small and very much likely a failed one (partially aborted), different sources indicate anywhere between 2 and 6 missiles, but it is highly probable only 2 missiles were fired by the IDF jets, indicating their jets were painted in the Syrian radars, aborting the previous intended attack. So far as I could dig up, there was no casualty, most likely only lightly wounded. The abandoned SAAF airbase near the city of Qusayr, has been used as Hizballah gathering point and logistics, since 2013, this may indicate IDF wanted to provoke Hizballah deep inside Syria, away from its border. We will need to wait for Narsallah today’ Friday speech to understand whether Hizballah will retaliate or not. It is safe to say, by now, that this IDF attack was another failed attempt, it is getting a long list of IDF failures, maybe demonstrating stronger Syrian air defenses while IDF lack of good intel. Canthama As a side comment, yesterday we had a lot of comments on the Russian S-500 live test that happened few weeks ago that was a clear success, hitting a target 450+kms away. In Sochi President Putin and the Russia High command agreed to move toward the serial production which may indicate that Russia will plenty of S-500 by 2020, freeing up dozens of S300-S400 to be sold to many countries with prompt delivery. It is designed for intercepting and destroying intercontinental ballistic missiles, as well as hypersonic cruise missiles and aircraft, for air defense against Airborne Early Warning and Control and for jamming aircraft. With a planned range of 600 km (370 mi) for anti-ballistic missile (ABM) and 400 km (250 mi) for the air defence, the S-500 would be able to detect and simultaneously engage up to 10 ballistic hypersonic targets flying at a speed of 25,000 km/h. It also aims at destroying hypersonic cruise missiles and other aerial targets at speeds of higher than Mach 5, as well as spacecraft. The altitude of a target engaged can be as high as 180–200 km. Guy Thornton I think my generation of baby boomers has automatically, unquestioningly, cut Israel a lot of slack since WW2 on account of the hard time Germany gave the jews. I don’t think youngsters – worldwide – buy this anymore. I live in Spain. Last week at a festival in a small town there was a charity booth selling stuff on behalf of Palestinian refugees. The youngsters there were the most virulent anti-Israel I have encountered anywhere. (They weren’t muslims). The father of one of the youngsters was present and commented to me that the current generation of Israelis, by their behaviour, has managed, for the umpteenth time in history, to completely resurrect and inflame anti-jewish hatred. I think you are right, PacificNW, the sun is once again going down for them. Maybe they’ll have better luck in Patagonia (I read they explore possibilities there)….although we know that from the gitgo they’ll manage effortlessly to piss off all their neighbours. The Iranian version of the S-400 might even be an improvement. Also the Iranians make other changes to rockets they get under license from Russia. They want bigger payloads and sacrifice fuel supply so they can make a bigger bang at a closer distance. Iran is closer to targets than Russia.
