Nancy Pelosi Oddly Refers To Trump’s Letter To Kim Jong Un As A ‘Valentine’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said the letter President Trump sent Thursday canceling his meeting with Kim Jong Un was “like a valentine,” The Daily Caller reports.

This is an odd assertion especially since in the letter, Trump said the actions of the North Korean regime towards the U.S. were angry and hostile and did not appreciate that after all of the hard work Trump has put into organizing the peace talks.

Trump canceled the June 12 summit planned with the North Korean leader after Kim Jong Un made several inflammatory statements in recent days. In his letter explaining his decision, Trump wrote, “You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used.”

Pelosi joked in a delivered statement that Trump’s letter came across “like a Valentine” and that Kim Jong Un is probably having a “giggle fit” while reading it.

“We got the president’s letter, a copy of the president’s letter, chumming up kind of like a valentine,” she said. “When you got this letter from the president saying, ‘okay, never mind,’ [Kim Jong Un] must be having a giggle fit right there now in North Korea.”

Maybe Pelosi has never seen a Valentine’s Day letter, so therefore she doesn’t understand what typically comes in those kinds of letters, but it’s definitely nothing like what was in Trump’s letter to Kim Jong-un.

This is just another case of Democrats, and specifically, Nancy Pelosi showing how out of touch they are with the public and will go to any lengths to try and discredit the president even when he is only trying to procure peace between major world powers who have nuclear weapons.

I wonder if Kim would be receptive to receiving flowers for a Valentine?

It's a nightmare, this endless Korea nothingburger. Strump at his worst. Somebody needs to remind him he's not world emperor.

He has some big shoes to fill. So far he has reversed all of Obummer's unlawful Executive Orders.

And he has gotten North Korea on the verge of re-uniting with South Korea.

China has already told Kim to cease the nuclear testing. And what China says, North Korea, and Kim, does.

Haven't they taken out the electrical cables and blown up the tunnels now? ;)

But why is Korea divided -- who's the guilty finger? Oh -- China and USSR. But who made them communist Somethings where they otherwise would have been nice normal healthy countries?

www.jewwatch.com/china.html

I hold DC And London responsible for global communism. They've directly sponsored it in some ways I'm sure (grain deals with Brezhnev for one) and they should have nipped it in the bud by executing all Armand Hammer and Trotsky Bronstein types before they could leave for the continent. Walter Duranty types too -- they're all poisonous Baal priests!

How has reversing Obongo's EOs made a difference? I want to believe -- help my unbelief.

who made them communist

North Korea was split at the end of WW II. The Soviets invaded from the north and got to the 48th parallel when the war ended.

The Soviets also took the Kuril Islands from Japan and never have offered to return them. Now it is Russia who has the claim on them. Putin could heal some old wounds by returning them.

Reversing the E.O. was good since Obummer thought he could ban handguns using them. Of course this is nonsense. To do that you would been a Constitutional Amendment to remove the 2nd Amendment. That will never happen as long as there is an NRA and GOA and SAF in this country. And as long as there are red neck gun owners who can do what the original intent of the Founders was by allowing an armed citizenry. And that is to remove an unwilling government, by force if necessary.

Wasn't it the John Birch Society that thought people should be allowed to own the same weapons as the military? Just wondering. I know little of them. ;)

Pelosi is very clearly senile . It is not a joke or a jab. She is medically senile. That can not be denied by any measure any more...Why is she still in office?

I would tend to agree with this assertion. However, as long as she has her political machine operative and thousands of blind supporters it is no mystery why she has not retired. ;)

That is a very basic principle, yes. The great Rivero reiterates it often.
