When the new Constitution was written in 1789, several of the new prospective States refused to sign without a Bill of Rights.

This led to the first 10 Amendments. The first spells out our rights and the second spells out how to protect those rights, with an armed citizenry.

Remember, Yamamoto had studied at University in the U.S. When the Japs proposed an invasion of mainland America he told them, "It would be a bad idea. There would be a man with a rifle behind every blade of grass." ;)

A buddy and me were in a bar in Suburban Chicago. We knew there was a whore house right next door. So we went over there to check it out. We were talking with the girls. New Years Eve, probably 1978 or so, I was 13 years old (14 if it was '79). My step dad got drunk and got in a fight with my Mom, who was also drunk. Older brother and younger step brother piled into step-dad's van and went for a drive. After many more beers step-dad had the bright idea of looking up some hookers at the motel across the highway from our subdivision, which we kept trying to tell him was abandoned. We were right, no hookers just at least a private place to throw up and come up with plan B. We made it home safely, weird enough, but neighbors called the police because of noise but we all promised them we would go to sleep so they left.
