Have you heard of the Grand Solar Minimum during which the sun becomes less active thus reducing both its magnetosphere and that of the earth? What that means for us in addition to slightly cooler temperatures is that we receive more cosmic rays (as our shields are reduced). We get weird weather because the Jet Stream wanders around. Cosmic rays are nuclear particles. They create more clouds and at lower altitudes in our sky. The reduced magnetosphere for the earth allows the additional cosmic rays to build up pressure under the earth's surface creating additional pressures for both volcanoes and earthquakes. The last two Grand Solar Minimums (GSM) were the Maunder Minimum (1645 to 1715) and the Dalton Minimum (1790-1830). During the Dalton Minimum we had a "Year without a Summer" about which you can read if you Google it. If you want to learn more, there is man with a Video channel I follow- Ice Age Farmer. This is a sample. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfaevEUZ5Y8
