AIM-120 AMRAAM. (US counterpart). Mach 4 Vs Mach 5. Range up to 75 Km. Vs 190. US Sherman tanks in WW II were death traps. The Tiger tank could fire from twice the distance. And it almost invulnerable to the first tank round to hit it. The German Ace Tier Tank commander killed 150 US tanks before being killed by the Canadians. He would routinely, attack 20 tanks on his own. He broke German military rules by shooting while moving.
The Tiger tank was a serious tank. The Sherman was more of a troop escort. The main gun of the Tiger was a far larger & heavier round than the Shermans had. Any tank crew would gladly take the Tiger over a Sherman.
On the other hand, the Tigers were far more expensive to make so there weren't too many of them. And being heavier, they didn't maneuver as well in muddy conditions.
